Hummingbirds can and do collide with glass. No bird deserves that though. Let's all please treat our glass.

What makes rescues like this possible? The presence of dedicated volunteer collision monitors. It's also the presence of incredible rehabs who are ready to accept injured wildlife.

Thank you CUSR-TEAM for signing up for shifts and putting miles and miles on looking for wildlife needing help while most of us are still sleeping or on the way to play, work or school.

Your survey presence, practice and observation allows birds like this to be noticed, to attempt to be rescued (some are just well enough to escape our help), and to transport them to care. You make that difference!

Thank you Calgary Wildlife your presence, expertise and for posts like this that give us hope amongst the loss.

Troubling news out of Toronto. The Toronto Wildlife Centre have provided an update and have included ways to help.

That's two Canadian rehabs (that we know of) affected by serious damages recently. This one as well as Interior Wildlife Rehabilitation Society (wildfires).

Wildlife rehab is so important. Please support your local rehab and/or one of these. So so important. Thank you!

The Task Force team didn't wait for a bird to be observed dying at their glass. They did the right thing - they made their building safer, recognizing all untreated glass is a hazard, whether strikes are observed or not!
