🔮✨ ALBERTA WITCHES ASSOCIATION ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING ✨🔮

The Alberta Witches Association (AWA) invites our community to join us for our 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM)!

📅 Date: Saturday, October 31, 2026
🕐 Time: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
📍 In Person: The Witch's Hearth, Calgary
💻 Online: Google Meet

For those unable to attend in person, we will be offering the option to join virtually through Google Meet. The meeting link will be posted on the day of the AGM.

Our AGM is an opportunity to reflect on the past year, discuss the future of the Association, and look ahead to what 2027 has in store for our growing Pagan and witchcraft community across Alberta.

🪞 The Living Mirror returns tomorrow for its second year!

This is a program developed by The Witch of Shamie’s Suitcase—a journey of shadow work, release, reflection, soul retrieval, and rebirth.

Living Mirror brings together archetypal teachings, mirror practice, witchcraft, ritual, and daily personal practice. We explore the stories we carry, the patterns we repeat, and the parts of ourselves we’ve learned to turn away from, building the capacity to meet ourselves with honesty and compassion.

The mirror is for truth, not punishment.

You can choose a three-month journey, completing at the Winter Gate with the Cailleach, or continue through the full six months into retrieval, integration, and rebirth.

This year offers two pathways:
✨ Self-Directed: Monthly recordings, workbooks, and practices to work through independently. AWA & Hearth members: $40/month.
🌑 Live Circle: All the materials plus monthly New Moon circles with me, in person at The Witch’s Hearth in Calgary or online through Google Meet. AWA & Hearth members: $65/month.

Non-member rates are $50/month for Self-Directed and $75/month for Live Circle. Monthly payments and upfront options are available.

Our first live circle is Wednesday, October 14, from 7:30–9:30 PM. Registration remains open until November 9, when the gate closes for this cycle.

You’ll find the full details and registration form through Linktree or the Get Tickets link in the Facebook event.

Blessed Teaching Tuesday, Witches! ✨️
This week our Goddesses series features the Goddess of the Silver Wheel, Stars & Destiny, Arianrhod 🌙

Hail Arianrhod, Lady of the Silver Wheel! 🌙

A mysterious and powerful figure of Welsh mythology, Arianrhod is daughter of Dôn and mother of Dylan and Lleu Llaw Gyffes. Her name is commonly interpreted as "Silver Wheel," inspiring Her strong modern associations with the Moon, stars, celestial cycles, and the turning of fate. In the Mabinogi, Arianrhod places a series of powerful destinies upon Lleu, linking Her story with naming, initiation, sovereignty, and fate. Modern Pagan and Avalonian traditions further honour Her as a Goddess of feminine power, cycles, magic, and the heavens. Arianrhod may be called upon for divination, navigating change, understanding life's cycles, personal sovereignty, and taking an active role in shaping one's destiny. 🌙

Witches, Guess What!! It is Teaching Tuesday!!!

This week our plant is SANDALWOOD!!!

Sandalwood has high spiritual energy and is used often in seances, to summon spirits and in many other rituals and religious ceremonies. Write a wish on a piece of sandalwood and then burn it to set the magic free to work on your wish. Sandalwood also makes for a great wand!!!

Enjoy!

We’ve been nominated for a Canadian Choice Award!

Alberta Witches Association has been nominated in the Nonprofit Organizations category for Calgary, Alberta, and now we’re asking our community to help us become an official nominee!

Since 2020, we’ve been working to build something meaningful for Alberta’s Pagan and witchcraft communities. From education and community gatherings to our Sponsor a Witch and Adopt-a-Witch programs, we’ve worked to create spaces where people can connect, learn, find support, and know they belong.

And none of it happens without community.

We have until October 31 to collect nominations, and we need your help!

If you’ve attended our events, participated in our programs, volunteered, supported our work, or simply believe in what we’re building, please take a moment to nominate us.

The nomination link is in our bio!

And please SHARE this post! Help us reach the people and families we’ve connected with across Alberta over the past six years.

Recognition like this isn’t just about an award. It’s an opportunity to show what a dedicated community can accomplish when people come together with purpose.

Thank you for being part of ours.

🐙 Welcome to Thinking Thursday! 🐙

This week in our Animal Ally Series, we’re diving beneath the waves to meet one of the ocean’s most fascinating creatures: the octopus.

✨ Octopus Fun Facts:

🧠 They have an extraordinary nervous system. An octopus has a central brain, but a large portion of its neurons are located throughout its eight arms. This allows its arms to process sensory information and perform complex movements with some independence.

🎨 They are masters of disguise. Many octopuses can rapidly change the colour and texture of their skin, helping them camouflage themselves, communicate, and react to their surroundings.

💙 They have three hearts and blue blood! Two hearts move blood through the gills, while another circulates it through the rest of the body. Their blood appears blue because it uses a copper-containing protein called hemocyanin to transport oxygen.

🔮 As an Animal Ally, Octopus can represent adaptability, intelligence, intuition, creativity, and transformation. With the ability to squeeze through seemingly impossible spaces and change according to its surroundings, Octopus reminds us that strength does not always mean standing firm. Sometimes our greatest strength is knowing when to adapt, when to release our grip, and when to find another way forward.

🐙 If Octopus crossed your spiritual path, what message do you think it would bring?
