You're invited to join us for this years International AIDS Candlelight Memorial, held on 17th May, where we can come together as a community to remember the many lives lost to AIDS

It is an opportunity to honour those who dedicated their lives to helping people living with and affected by HIV, and continue to mobilise our communities in solidarity.

We will be gathering at the AIDS memorial in Robertson park at 5:30pm, where we will have guest speakers from WAAC and the community, a walk through the memorial garden, and the laying of the candles.

We encourage you to come along and show your support for those who have passed, and for those still affected by HIV.

For the recent World AIDS Day, WAAC organised for individuals from our community who have lived experience with HIV to create short films that recount their stories.

As part of the Boorloo Heritage Festival, WAAC will be hosting a screening of these short films, followed by a panel discussion with those featured to discuss their experiences and the importance of their stories being told.

WAAC would like to invite you to join us for the premiere screening of these powerful messages, and to join the discussion around how HIV/AIDS has shaped our community.

If you would like to attend, please see more information at the link below, and make sure to grab your ticket.
