Financial stress can impact our mental health, relationships and overall wellbeing.

While we can't always change the circumstances contributing to financial pressure, there are small steps we can take to help reduce stress and feel more in control.

Here are 8 ways to support your wellbeing when navigating financial challenges:

1️⃣ Focus on what you can control – Take small, manageable steps towards what you can influence today.

2️⃣ Get clear on what's worrying you – Identify your biggest financial concerns to help work out your next steps.

3️⃣ Be compassionate with yourself – Financial difficulties don't define your worth or success.

4️⃣ Step away from comparison – Focus on your own circumstances and what feels realistic for you.

5️⃣ Give your mind a break – Make time for activities and connections that help you switch off from money worries.

6️⃣ Look after the basics – Prioritise sleep, regular meals and movement where you can.

7️⃣ Seek practical support – Free financial counselling services can help you understand your options and make things feel less overwhelming.

8️⃣ Recognise the small wins – Take a moment to recognise the progress you've made, however small.

This Anti-Poverty Week, we’re adding our voice for change. 💜

Around 424,500 West Australians are living in poverty – that’s 1 in 7 people in WA.

Poverty can affect every part of a person’s life – from their wellbeing to their relationships, opportunities and ability to feel connected to their community.

But poverty isn’t inevitable. By changing the systems and conditions that shape people’s lives, we can help create a WA where everyone has the opportunity to live well and thrive.

Ending poverty takes all of us. Together, we can be part of the change.

💬 Join the movement by adding your photo to the No Place for Poverty Voices for Change Selfie Wall. Share a photo and message about the change you want to see in WA.

Today is World Mental Health Day. 💙🌏

This year’s theme, , recognises that while life can often feel overwhelming, connection remains one of the most powerful ways to support our mental health.

Sometimes, life feels like a lot. Global conflict and uncertainty, rising costs and constant change can leave many of us feeling overwhelmed and disconnected.

At our core, we all need to feel safe, understood and to know that we matter. 😌

At Relationships Australia WA, we see every day how important our relationships and connections are to our wellbeing.

When we come together – through small, everyday moments of care, kindness, conversation and connection – we can help each other to truly thrive. 🌱

Positive co-parenting starts with communication. 🧡

Mediation (also known as Family Dispute Resolution) can provide a supported space for separated parents to work through difficult conversations, make practical decisions and find a way forward.

For this parent, that meant building more cooperative communication for their children — one step at a time. 💬

Our mediation services support separated parents to work towards parenting and property agreements that put their children’s needs first.

🌱 Welcoming Kambarang, Season of Birth 💛

Kambarang brings longer, warmer days and longer dry periods, as the landscape comes alive with colourful wildflowers and new life. ☀️🌺

The 6 Noongar Seasons are guided by the rhythms of nature, not calendar dates.

Kambarang is a time of new life, growth and change. Just as the seasons shift around us, we too move through different stages and new beginnings in our lives.

As WA’s leading support for relationship wellbeing, we’re here to help you find a way forward, through every season. 🤝

🎨 Thank you to Acacia Collard – Acacia Cultural Designs for creating this beautiful artwork.

We share this Noongar seasonal knowledge with respect, acknowledging that it belongs to the Noongar people, the Traditional Custodians of this land.

Mental health is about more than just self-care. 💛

The people and relationships in our lives can have a profound impact on our mental wellbeing — and decades of research show just how much those connections matter.

This Mental Health Month, let’s make relationship wellbeing part of the conversation. 💬

✨ Make time for connection.
✨ Check in with the people you care about.
✨ Reach out when you need support.

Because good mental health is a universal human right – and we all deserve to feel connected.
