Monday Memories! ⭐🎞😍 📷📸

Pictured circa 1946 is youngster Lesley Stevens with a doll's pram made by her father, Len Stevens.

When the local ice-man didn't deliver during excessively hot weekends, the family would use the pram to collect supplies for their ice chest from Concanen's on Jersey Street in Wembley.

Today's Tuesday Treasure is the Earlsferry Home

Located at 1 Nurstead Avenue, Bassendean it was originally named Briarsleigh, built in 1902 and owned by John Tregerthen Short, second Chairman of the West Guildford Road Board 1903-1905 and (Commissioner of Railways). Earlsferry House has had many uses over time with various owners including Karl Edgard Drake-Brockman, Sir Edward Horne Wittenoom, Mrs Mildred Foster, Mrs L. Thomas and the Nathaniel Harper Homes and a fire in 1989 which caused significant damage. Earlsferry was classified by the National Trust in 1990 and it was added to the State Heritage Register in 1994.
