It was wonderful having Tom French MP visit Meerilinga Kingsley and Meerilinga Woodvale to witness the amazing work of our services.

Our staff were able to discuss the trends that we are seeing in both our community support programs and our Early Learning Program, and our children were excited to show off the new play equipment we have purchased thanks to the Stronger Community Programme Grants!

Thank you for the visit and for keeping the conversation about our community going.

Bubbles! Chasing bubbles, popping bubbles, blowing bubbles... There's a lot you can do with simple tools!

Playing together like this keeps us active during the cold weather, helps our hand-eye coordination and provides a few laughs. Simple tools for this session of Meerilinga High Wycombe's toddler Bindi Kindi class, fun results!

Even after her successful move from Brazil to Australia, 16 years of working in early learning, raising a child with her husband and travelling the world, Kamilla admits that she has more to learn.

“One of the funniest moments at Meerilinga was learning new songs for transition times. As something new for me, it brought lots of giggles and fun for both children and educators.”

As a new member of the Meerilinga Woodvale family, she’s also been learning what makes us different, including our strong commitment to diversity, inclusion and a clear focus on children’s safety, learning and development.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to continue growing each day, while also contributing and sharing my knowledge within such a supportive and professional community...I am truly grateful to be part of such an amazing team and I appreciate the learning, support and positive experiences they bring each day.”

What’s that sound? A rumbling car? A noisy crowd? No - the ocean!

Woodvale had activities throughout the week to celebrate World Ocean Day and explore the importance of our oceans to our lives on this planet – and the importance of looking after the sea. It might not be the best weather to go swimming but we think our children had a lot of fun reading about sea animals, listening to seashells, using tongs to remove rubbish from our small pond and using recycled materials to create a shared ocean mural.
