13 students gathered today to meet 2 late arrival inbounds who couldn’t attend the orientation day. The last day of winter really brought spring vibes for their catch up ☀️ 🍃 🌸

They trekked the North of the Bibbulmun Track down to Rocky Pool and back. We wonder maybe after walking 3km of the track if they are keen to take on the next 997km 😜

Say hello to our 2026/2027 cohort!

These 14 students (2 more are still enroute) represent 10 countries from Europe and South America, and will be hosted by 13 different clubs here in Western Australia.

Today’s Orientation Day was a mix of serious topics and fun games to get to know each other. The next time the students will all be together again is their camp in October.

Also a big thank you to District Governor WA for addressing our students today.

It’s been a busy week at the airport as our new cohort of inbounds have started to arrive. Clubs, host families and RYE Committee members have been welcoming the students to Western Australia. There have been some great welcoming signs too.

It was a busy day and night at the airport last night as five of our inbounds flew out. Some of the remaining students, plus school friends, host families, committee members and Rotarians turned up to farewell them. Goodbye (for now) to Rose from France (RC Crawley), Elliot from Belgium (RC Perth) and the Brazilian contingent - Manu (RC Scarborough), Esther (RC Greater Geraldton) and Benicio (RC Kojonup & RC Katanning). Come back soon!
