Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible mums, grandmothers, stepmums, mother figures, those hoping and praying to become mothers, and those carrying the heartbreak of losing a baby. 💐❤️

Today we honour every journey to motherhood — the joy, the love, the strength, the longing, and the memories held close to the heart. Sending love to everyone for whom today brings happiness, reflection, hope, or grief. You are seen, remembered, and deeply valued. 🌷

Upper Lansdowne Public School is more than just a school—it’s part of the heart of our community.

Right now, it’s at risk.

Due to low enrolment numbers, we’ve entered a consultation phase with the Department of Education. There is a real possibility the school could go into recess as early as Term 3. Recess means closure—and once a small school closes, it’s incredibly hard to bring it back. A school in recess does not enrol students. Staff and school assets are redeployed to nearby schools.

This school represents connection, opportunity, and a future for local families. Losing it would mean more than just losing a classroom—it would mean losing a vital part of our community.
The Department has emphasised the need for more locally zoned enrolments. At present, only 5 of our 10 students live within the Upper Lansdowne zone, and we will lose 2 of those at the end of term.

By the end of term, we must submit “our story” outlining why Upper Lansdowne Public School should remain open—while also working to increase enrolments.

We need to come together now!

📍 Community Meeting – 19 May at the hall
This is our chance to gather, share ideas, and take action.

Join our community group with the same name to add to the coversation.

If this school means something to you—whether you’re a parent, past student, neighbour, or community member—we need your voice!

Let’s stand together and do everything we can to keep Upper Lansdowne Public School open!

We’re often asked what being not-for-profit really means for our families.

Simply put, it means that our purpose always comes before profit. Every dollar we make is reinvested back into our centres, to provide children with enriching and safe learning environments.

We understand how important it is for children to be in a place where they feel safe and settled. And when families need to make a change - planned or unexpected - we’re here to help make that transition easier.

We’re here to support families when it matters most – because every child deserves a Goodstart! ✨

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

♥️Lest we Forget♥️

Thankyou to our Goodstart Early Learning Taree community, our children, their families, neighbours and our Educators for attending the ANZAC march this morning.
