DANNY UPDATE - We are now thinking that Danny's mum may have abandoned him & he had been on his own much longer than first thought. He's had a few issues since coming into care. Having said that he's putting on weight, eating well & taking formula. Hopefully we can get him fit and healthy overtime.

DANNY (NABIAC) - IN CARE. Male joey weighing 452gs was found on the ground with no mum. A search for mum was unsuccessful. Joey is dehydrated & very hungry. He has been on his own for at least 24-48hrs. Establishing feeding & bonding.

PIPPA (BOOTAWA) - RELEASED. Came to us in March 2026 sick with infected eyes that she got from her infected mum. Pippa recovered & thrived. A very wild girl on release. She has been released into the KIC KOALA CONSERVATION AREA.

DAISYMAE. Sorry I haven't updated on DAISYMAE for awhile but with 3 small joeys in care now it is endless feeds 🍼. DAISYMAE is just wonderful. She is now nudging 700gs (admitted at 117gs). Could not be happier with her progress ❤️❤️

BIANCA (BOOTAWA) - FOUND DECEASED. Female koala found deceased suffering from advanced wet bottom. She had been suffering for a long time given her skinny body wetness and staining. Thank you Kallee for reporting this girl.
The image shows the level of diseased, wet, staining & skinny body condition. Very sad that another BOOTAWA koala has been lost to this disease.

CONNIE (SMITHS LAKE) - DIED. CONNIE, young female, was a victim of a dog attack which happened when she entered the backyard. Sadly she was severely mauled and died of her injuries. The internal damage was severe, external there was very little evidence of the attack. Please always report dog attacks! Thank you to those involved who rang for help. RIP CONNIE.

KATIE (HILLVILLE) - IN CARE. Katie became an orphan when a vehicle hit her mother, JAYME, causing fatal head trauma. This happened in daylight hours. KATIE suffered no injuries but was traumatised by the ordeal. (She is roughly the same age as DAISYMAE now). Katie is doing well & has bonded with me.
