Today, Taree Rescue Squad participated in a joint emergency services exercise at Taree Airport.

This important training exercise provided an opportunity for emergency services to test response plans for both an aircraft incident and a mass casualty event. Exercises like these strengthen inter-agency cooperation and ensure emergency responders are prepared to work together effectively during complex incidents.

Our operators initially prepared for a rescue scenario before transitioning into casualty management operations, where a large number of simulated patients were extricated and transferred into the care of NSW Ambulance crews.

Training alongside our partner agencies is essential in maintaining operational readiness and ensuring the best possible outcomes for our community should a real incident occur.

A big thank you to all agencies involved in the planning and delivery of today’s exercise.
