Account 4545-02937 Operating since 2011, we are a co-operative of volunteer foster carers and passionate animal advocates, working together to achieve our shared vision. We have a no-kill philosophy, with a focus on finding animals their forever homes through our Foster to Adopt Program. This program is key to our organisation’s success, as it rehabilitates our animals in preparation for their new life. We focus on:
- reducing the number of unwanted and abandoned animals through rehoming
community education
- desexing initiatives, and
- liaising with other welfare organisations

We do this with a direct purpose, which is working towards the introduction of new legislation to give greater protection to all animals. This also serves to provide further direction for other registered rescue organisations. Maggie’s Rescue cares for all our animals through our amazing network of foster carers. They provide a safe and nurturing home for animals in need until their forever home is found.

Our sweet little red dog has been in care for months and she’s still waiting for a family to call her own. 🏡❤️

Granola is a beautiful mix of playful energy and serious cuddles. She can be a little cautious with new people, but with patience and kindness, she blossoms into an affectionate, loving companion.

She loves walks, zoomies, sniffing adventures and training and then happily switches off for a cosy cuddle. 🥰 She’d love a secure backyard and could enjoy living with a confident doggy sibling, too.

Pretzel came to us as a stray with an injured leg, but after some TLC, he’s made a fantastic recovery and is ready for his forever home!

This handsome boy is a total cuddlebug who loves his humans, laps and being tucked into bed like a tiny gentleman. Once he flops onto you, he curls into the tiniest little pretzel and settles in for a snooze. 🥹💤

Friendly, confident and very social, Pretzel will happily make friends with everyone… before claiming your lap as his personal property. 😂

Lottle is a young Staffy who ticks a lot of boxes. She’s wicked smart, loves to love, can play and adventure like there’s no tomorrow, and then when the fun is done, she’ll happily melt into the couch and become one with the cushions. 🛋️

She’s a lot of dog, and we’re not going to lie about that. She’s got enthusiasm for days, a big personality, and enough energy to keep you on your toes.

Soooo… right after we listed Whimsy for adoption a few months ago, she made a GREAT leap off the couch and broke her leg. 🤦‍♀️ Whoops. 😂💕
BUT… she’s all healed, fully recovered and FINALLY ready to get back to being the happy little whirlwind she was born to be! 🎉

Whimsy tiny, fluffy, ridiculously cute and absolutely PACKED with personality. 💕🐾

Don’t let the fluff fool you… this girl is NOT a sleepy lap dog! She loves zoomies, toys, chasing balls, exploring and generally making the most of life. She’s clever, eager to please and ready for adventures.

Once she’s burned off her energy, though? Straight onto your lap. 😂❤️

Whimsy would love an active family who’ll keep her busy with walks, play, enrichment and training — but who also understands that every adventure should end with plenty of cuddles.

She’s been wonderful with children and enjoys other dogs, although she’s still learning her manners and can be VERY enthusiastic about making new friends. 🐶💨

She also loves being groomed (a bonus with that gorgeous double coat!) and, in a plot twist, absolutely LOVES the rain. 🌧️😂

Whimsy is ready to put her couch-leaping career behind her and start living her best life.

🐾 Queenie the GSD

Before our big move, we had the pleasure of looking after Queenie, a beautiful 1-year-old German Shepherd who found herself in need of some help after coming into the care of Paws & Recover

So many wonderful people have rallied around her to help get her on the right track after she spent a year tied to a kitchen table 🫠

Queenie is an incredibly affectionate, people-focused girl, a true velcro dog who loves kisses, pats, cuddles and being involved in everything you do. She’s confident, fearless and has so much love to give.

She’s doing brilliantly with:
🐕 Settling in a crate
🚶‍♀️ Walking on lead with guidance
🐾 Redirecting from other dogs
🏡 Toilet training

Queenie is dog friendly, she does need someone confident and experienced who can help her manage her excitement around dogs in the home. She’s also very interested in cats and will chase them, so a cat-free home is essential. Her recall isn’t reliable yet, so off-lead time needs to be in securely fenced areas.

But Queenie is only one year old. She has so much potential, and we truly believe the right person will unlock an incredible companion. ❤️

She’s been waiting her entire life.

This tiny guy is curious, playful, cuddly and absolutely determined to be involved in EVERYTHING. His signature move? A dramatic flop at your feet when he decides it’s belly-rub time. 😂

🐾 Meet Tabitha … professional bed goblin, toy destroyer & cuddle enthusiast! 😹💕

Tabitha came into care from a street colony as a timid older kitten. With lots of love, patience and play, she’s blossomed into a playful little sprite who’s learning that humans aren’t so bad after all.

She LOVES cuddles, food, sleeping on (or under!) the bed, teaser toys, catnip, wrapping paper, dressing gowns… basically anything she can turn into a toy. 😂

She adores other cats and would love a feline friend. She tends to bond with one person first, then slowly decides everyone else is okay too. 🥹

🏡 Looking for a calm adult/older teen home with patient humans who’ll give her time to settle. Another cat would be a big bonus!

🐶 Dogs? Hard pass.
🐱 Cats? YES PLEASE.
