A critical illness can change someone’s life overnight — and the financial impact can be just as devastating as the diagnosis itself.

While Australia’s healthcare system provides vital support, many patients are still left with significant out-of-pocket expenses. Specialist appointments, medications, travel, parking and ongoing household bills can quickly add up, while time away from work can significantly reduce a family’s income.

For some people, the question becomes not only “How will I get through treatment?” but “How will I afford to?”

The Jenny Souris Foundation exists to help ease that burden, giving people facing critical illness greater financial support when they need it most.

Because no one should have to choose between their health and keeping their life financially afloat.

From building a successful family business alongside her husband Mina, to raising a beautiful family, supporting her community, and facing a courageous 10-year battle with cancer, Jenny always put others before herself.
Even in her hardest moments, she worried about those who couldn’t access the care they needed. That selfless wish became the inspiration behind the Jenny Souris Foundation.

Established in 2021, the Foundation continues Jenny’s legacy by providing financial assistance to families facing serious illness, ensuring they can focus on what matters most.
