“We are always waiting, in limbo. Churches are being watched, and we are being targeted.”

In 2025, Philoi helped bring the experiences of persecuted Christians before the UN Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Religion or Belief.

Their voices highlighted important protection gaps for religious minorities, informing key recommendations for the future.

As we mark the International Day Commemorating the Victims of Acts of Violence Based on Religion or Belief on 22 August, we remember those who continue to face persecution for their faith.

“Please remember: behind every refugee case, there is a human being with a name, with a story, with hope for a better future.” - Nara

We celebrate this important step and remain committed to seeking even great protections for the world’s most vulnerable communities.

“I drew this because it gave me a very special feeling.

As you can see, the picture shows Jesus Christ walking with a little girl. To me, it looks exactly how a loving father walks hand in hand with his daughter. The little girl holds her father’s hand with complete love, trust, and security. She has no fear.

It reminds me that Jesus is our Father. He is always guiding and walking beside us. In his eyes, we are all like that little girl, safely holding our Father’s hand. He hears us, understands us, and feels our pain. He never leaves…”

A young Afghan refugee shares with us her drawings and what they mean to her. They serve as powerful reminders of hope for persecuted believers living in displacement. We are privileged to walk alongside such brave believers.

75 years ago, Christians helped shape a global framework that recognised the dignity and rights of people fleeing persecution in the Refugee Convention.

But with a declining trust in international institutions, what does faithful Christian engagement look like today?

75 years after the Refugee Convention was adopted, declining trust in international institutions raises an important question: what does faithful Christian engagement look like today? “If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?”Psalm 11:3 Many Christians today are frustrated wit...

Sponsors Needed ❤️
We are seeking sponsors to support Counseling First Aid and Su***de Prevention Training for Sri Lankan leaders serving in post-conflict communities.
For just USD $100 or AUD $130, you can sponsor one participant and help equip local leaders with skills to provide emotional support, identify those at risk, and bring hope to vulnerable individuals and families.

Trauma can leave people feeling lost, isolated, and disconnected from who they are. For refugees and forcibly displaced individuals, these experiences are often compounded by uncertainty, loss, and the challenges of rebuilding life in a new environment. Without timely support, the emotional impact o...

Today is World Refugee Sunday!

This year’s theme is “Who is My Neighbour?” Reflective of the Good Samaritan’s mercy toward the vulnerable.
