Love Mercy exists to empower communities in Northern Uganda to overcome poverty caused by the horrors of war. Love Mercy began in 2010 in Sydney, Australia after Eloise Wellings, Australian Olympian, met Ugandan Olympian and former child soldier, Julius Achon.

To mark our new partnership, we created a custom race kit for Love Mercy Foundation ‘s Clean Water Run Club, including performance singlets, hats and socks, all carrying the message “clean water is a human right”.

Through our 1% for the Planet commitment, our partnership directly supports Love Mercy’s work providing clean water to communities across northern Uganda.

Over the past Sydney Marathon weekend, the new kit was handed out to the Love Mercy team, before joining CWRC for a shakeout along the Harbour foreshore. 💚

It started with two Olympians and a conversation in Portland.

In 2008, Eloise Wellings met Julius Achon, who was quietly supporting thirteen Ugandan orphans after escaping abduction as a child. Two years later, that friendship became Love Mercy Foundation .

Today, we’re proud to welcome Love Mercy as a FRACTEL 1% for the Planet Partner, supporting their work to bring clean water to communities across northern Uganda.

To mark the beginning, we created a custom kit for their Clean Water Run Club, built around a simple message we’re proud to stand behind:

Clean water is a human right.

We’re incredibly proud to play a small part in what comes next. 💚
