The ocean is a sanctuary flowers a burst of joy.
For artist Fiona Lowe, the natural world is a place to escape to — a sanctuary for a busy mind.
Her paintings capture the calm of beaches, quiet coastal spaces and the feeling of being completely immersed in nature. But alongside the soothing movement of water, Fiona brings another kind of energy to her work: bold, joyful colour and flourishing florals.
It is this contrast that makes her work so compelling — the stillness of the ocean alongside the exuberance of nature in bloom.

Welcome to the Multicultural Storytimes family, Grace Xu! 🌟

We are delighted to welcome Grace as our relief Mandarin storyteller at Space2b’s Multicultural Storytimes.

Originally from China, Grace is a friendly and enthusiastic storyteller who loves sharing picture-book stories with children.

As a mother of two and a volunteer Help Reader at her children’s school, she brings warmth, care and a strong connection to early literacy.

Grace enjoys introducing simple Chinese language elements through stories, movement and music, helping children have fun while connecting with culture and language.

She is excited to connect with local families through Multicultural Storytimes and help create a welcoming space where children feel included, curious and joyful.
Please join us in giving Grace a very warm welcome! 💛

MEET THE ARTIST: GAYLE STONE
What happens in the space between two breaths?
For artist and yoga teacher Gayle Stone, art and yoga share something powerful — an invitation to slow down, become present and reconnect with ourselves.
Using mixed media, Gayle explores the spaces between the inner and outer worlds, creating works that encourage us to pause, breathe and look a little deeper.

Her work reminds us that nature isn't only something we see around us. It can also be something we feel within.
