A huge thank you to our friend 💛

This week, our much-loved Be Free mural in the Space2b laneway has been beautifully restored by the incredibly talented .

Originally painted incognito for Space2b in 2018 by Be Free aka David Edwards (1977- 2023), this mural is a treasured legacy to a wonderful artist, musician and human being.

THANK YOU for generously giving your time and talent to bring this special artwork back to life.

With a background in fine arts, architecture and art therapy, Sue Guzick brings curiosity and creativity to everything she makes.

Sue loves experimenting with printmaking, embracing the unique qualities of different materials and the unexpected surprises that emerge along the way.

🎨For The Art of Printmaking exhibition, she showcases a range of techniques including collagraph, linocut and copper plate printing- each revealing the beauty of process, play and discovery.

Meet the Artist: Vicki Soar 🤩

Vicki Soar is a mixed media portrait artist and art psychotherapist whose creative practice spans portraiture, mixed media, murals and even live art battles – yes, they're every bit as exciting as they sound!

In The Art of Printmaking exhibition, Vicki explores the expressive possibilities of gel plate printing.

Each print is a one-of-a-kind creation, with the final image shaped by layers of paint, pressure and drying time. The process is wonderfully unpredictable.

Drop in during August to discover Vicki's captivating work and the magic of printmaking.

August 19 is World Humanitarian Day, did you know that?

It's a day to honour the extraordinary people who dedicate their lives to supporting communities affected by conflict, disaster and displacement.

At Space2b, we see every day how compassion, kindness and opportunity can transform lives.

This year's theme, , reminds us that humanity is more than a feeling—it's something we do. Whether it's welcoming someone new, volunteering your time, shopping with purpose or simply choosing kindness, every action helps create a more inclusive and compassionate world.

Today we also remember the humanitarian workers who have lost their lives while serving others, and we thank those who continue this vital work with courage and dedication.

✨ Finding Your Voice ✨

Recently, the wonderful .vij hosted 'Finding Your Voice' workshop, bringing together an incredible group of people for a morning of learning, connection and confidence-building in storytelling.

Together, they explored the power of storytelling—how our stories shape who we are, inspire others and help us communicate with authenticity. Through interactive activities, reflection and plenty of laughter, participants began discovering new ways to share their experiences with confidence and purpose.

🙏A huge thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to making the workshop such a warm, engaging and empowering experience. And a big thank you to our very own Storyteller Rohini for leading this workshop.

Nicole Soden is a self-taught printmaker specialising in linocut relief printing, blending traditional techniques with an adventurous, experimental approach.

Living and working in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges, Nicole finds endless inspiration in the natural world—its changing seasons, native flora and the quiet rhythms of everyday life.
These influences are woven throughout her striking prints, inviting us to slow down and notice the beauty around us.
