A lovingly prepared home-cooked dinner shared in community is one way our Drop In create a place of belonging and connection. Good nutrition is important for good health and our Thursday Community Meal makes this accessible for those who may otherwise miss out. Thanks so much to our wonderful cooks!

Meet Lauren, who has volunteered at St Kilda Gatehouse Greeves St Op Shop for the past two years.

St Kilda Gatehouse does vital work supporting women and girls experiencing vulnerability, street s*x work and drug addiction — creating connection, safety and support where it’s needed most.

Volunteers like Lauren are at the heart of organisations like these, helping create welcoming spaces and stronger communities every single day.

Loz* has been sleeping rough since leaving a violent partner 3months ago. The Van Outreach team first met her in a quiet car park corner, and were able to offer food when it was needed most. Now she knows about Drop In, she has started coming by: a new place of belonging growing from a simple invitation. ♥️.

Mother’s Day, Drop In style! Approximately 60% of those we serve at Drop In are Mums…many of whom have limited opportunity to be celebrated. With chocolates and flowers, we honour these Mums each Mother’s Day, reminding them that they matter, whatever the journey.
