Brian, our Ambassador Dog, had a paw-some time catching up with former VisAbility employee and paralympic medalist Kane Perris along with Joe Tippett, during a visit to Inside WAIS today. 🐾🏅

It's always inspiring to see people achieving great things and staying connected with our community. Thanks for the warm welcome, Kane and Joe!

Make September the month you write your Will 🧡
Is writing your Will still on your to-do list?
Throughout September, Guide Dogs WA is partnering with Safewill to make this important task a little easier. You can write a simple online Will for free - normally $160.
Writing a Will is an important way to look after your loved ones and plan for the future.
While completing your Will, you may also choose to leave a gift to Guide Dogs WA. There is absolutely no obligation to do so, but leaving a gift is a meaningful way to support the causes you care about. 🧡
Gifts in Wills help provide Guide and Assistance Dogs to Western Australians living with low or no vision, disability, illness or other life challenges, supporting greater independence, confidence and quality of life.
This free offer is available during September only.

Celebrating International Dog Day with GDI Property Group! 🐾

Today, Guide Dogs WA had the pleasure of joining GDI Property Group across two of their Perth CBD locations for a very special International Dog Day activation, organised by the wonderful team at Zebra Creative.

Ambassador Dog Greg was joined by Dogs in Training Elliot and Elijah, who loved meeting tenants, making new friends and helping raise awareness of the life-changing work of Guide Dogs WA.

A huge thank you to GDI Property Group for choosing to support Guide Dogs WA and for raising an incredible amount to support our work. We rely heavily on the generosity of our donors, volunteers and community, and support like this makes a meaningful difference.

We had a fabulous time and can’t wait to visit again!

🐾 Happy International Dog Day! 🐾

Today we're celebrating all dogs, especially the incredible guide, assistance, facility and companion dogs who help create independence, confidence and connection for people with low vision or blindness, illness or disability.

Our dogs start as a playful puppy, supported by a community of breeders, puppy raisers, trainers, volunteers and donors who help them on their journey.

Thank you to everyone who makes these life-changing partnerships possible.

💛 Join us in celebrating dogs and the remarkable difference they make every day.

🐾❤️ **Denise has found her forever home — and a very special best friend.**

Denise is now a Companion Dog for five-year-old Braxton, and his family recently shared this beautiful update with us.

Since welcoming Denise into their family, they’ve seen a wonderful bond grow between the pair. Braxton and Denise are often side by side — whether Denise is joining him for movie time, napping in his room or simply being there as a source of comfort and companionship.

Braxton’s family told us they’ve noticed some wonderful changes, including that he is calmer and communicating more.

“*She has become not only his companion, but his comfort, his friend and a very important part of his world.*”

And Denise’s impact extends to the whole family.

“*Watching the changes in our son and seeing the bond they share has meant more to us than we could ever express.*”

Stories like Denise and Braxton’s are a beautiful reminder of the difference a Companion Dog can make. We’re so happy to see Denise settled into her forever home and to watch this very special friendship grow. 💛

Thank you to the Mills/Crosswell family for allowing us to share their story.

Day one of retirement and Bazza is really struggling to adjust… 😂🐾

After years of dedicated service, we thought Bazza might take things easy for a while.

Apparently not.

He’s already been spotted cruising the high seas, working on his golf handicap and trying his luck at the casino. We’re not entirely sure how he’s funding this retirement lifestyle, but we may need to check his treat allowance. 👀

It looks like retirement suits you, Bazza. 💛

🧡 A huge thank you to Vivian's Real Estate for their generous donation of $1,834 to Guide Dogs WA through their Community Give Back Scheme.

When clients sell their property with Vivian's Real Estate, they can choose a local charity to receive a donation from the sales commission. We're honoured to be one of the organisations included in this initiative, alongside other well-known animal welfare charities.

Last week, Gill and Trent Vivian visited Guide Dogs WA to present their donation and learn more about our services. As passionate dog lovers, supporting Guide Dogs WA was a natural fit. Gill even arrived in a vibrant orange coat and matching orange nails, perfectly complementing the Guide Dogs WA colours for the occasion! 🧡🐾

This is a wonderful example of how local businesses can weave community giving into their everyday operations and create meaningful impact. Since launching the initiative, Vivian's Real Estate has contributed thousands of dollars back to the community through the charities their clients choose to support.

Could your business do the same?

Whether through workplace giving, customer donation programs, sponsorship or a tailored partnership, we'd love to explore how we can work together to change lives.
