ASEAN Day is more than a date on the calendar. It is a reminder of what 11 nations can achieve together.

Every year on 8 August, we mark the founding of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations — a bloc that today represents 670 million people, a combined GDP of over USD $3.6 trillion, and one of the fastest-growing economic regions in the world.

For Western Australia, ASEAN is not just a distant trading partner. It is our closest strategic opportunity — in resources, education, tourism, technology, and diplomacy.

This year, the ASEAN Business Alliance Perth is proud to bring together government leaders, diplomats, ministers, and business professionals to celebrate ASEAN Day 2026 — under the theme:

✨Navigating Our Future Together✨

As we mark the Philippines' leadership as ASEAN Chair for 2026, this is a moment to reflect on the partnerships that have been built — and the ones still to come.

The Board of ASEAN Business Alliance had a very productive meeting this week discussing our plans for this year and the new initiatives we hope to roll out. With the collaboration of nine business councils/chambers associated with the ASEAN region, we hope to lift our engagement with current and new stakeholders in the coming months.
