Encourage mothers in your community to drink water regularly throughout the day, especially during hot weather, and to seek help early if they notice signs of dehydration.

Supporting mothers means supporting the next generation. 👶

Hard work and dedication from the crew at Yamen, special shout out to Jesse Pryor at Samban for being on call for daily advise and lending us essential equipment, thank you to the guys from PNGDF for their help especially Danny Sokam who has worked tirelessly to see us achieve our mission. We have water from the well!!! In a few days it will run clean and fill the tanks and service the community. El Niño is hitting hard and many people are suffering.

A basic preparedness kit can include: clean drinking water, ORS supplies, a torch, first aid supplies, non-perishable food, and important documents kept dry and accessible.

Being prepared starts at home. 🏡

Extreme heat isn't just uncomfortable, it can be dangerous. 🌡️

Watch for heat exhaustion signs: heavy sweating, weakness, nausea, and headache. If untreated, this can progress to heatstroke, which is a medical emergency.

Move to shade, drink water, and cool the body down if you notice these signs in yourself or others.

Even during water shortages, handwashing remains one of the best defences against disease. 🧼

A "tippy tap" (a simple hands-free handwashing device made from a container and string) uses only a small amount of water per wash - a great option when supply is limited.

Small amounts of water, big impact on health. 🙌
