πŸ’™ Protect your health this winter πŸ’™

The WA Government has expanded the FREE RSV immunisation program for people over 50 who are at increased risk of serious illness.

RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) can cause severe respiratory complications, especially for transplant recipients and those with weakened immune systems.

You may be eligible for a free RSV immunisation if you:
βœ”οΈ Are aged 50+ with certain medical conditions
βœ”οΈ Are a heart or lung transplant recipient
βœ”οΈ Have a condition affecting your immune system

We encourage our members and community to speak with their GP or pharmacist about whether the RSV vaccine is right for them.

Let’s work together to stay healthy and protected this winter. πŸ’›

Parking and transport at Fiona Stanley Hospital

Those of you who travel to Fiona Stanley Hospital for appointments will have noticed challenges with finding parking in recent months. Construction works have begun for the new Women and Babies Hospital on the FSH precinct opposite of the Emergency Department. Part of the development will include 2 new multi deck car parks, however until then changes have been introduced to reduce the impact. For the most up to date details visit the following FSH page: https://fsfhg.health.wa.gov.au/For-patients-and-visitors/Coming-to-Fiona-Stanley-Hospital/Parking-and-transport-FSH

Visitor parking recently changed and is now available in:

Car park 1 – best access to the main hospital

Car park 5 (ground and levels 1 and 2) – direct access to the State Rehabilitation Service and main hospital via the Level 2 footbridge.

Please plan ahead and allow extra time when coming to the hospital. Those of you who are able, may consider public transport. The hospital is a 10-minute walk from Murdoch train station and buses run regularly between the station and the hospital. Bus stops can be found on Barry Marshall Parade and Fiona Wood Road.
