Murdoch Community Garden Busy Bees every Tuesday from 3:30pm onwards. Snacks and socialising up the hill at Carpark 13, ETC @ Murdoch Uni.

We get together to nurture fruits and veggies, start seedlings in our nursery, make compost, do weeding, and harvest what we've grown. We operate at the Environmental Technology Centre (ETC) - here we are creating a dynamic space for students and the wider community that offers local food growing and learning, inclusive community, career networking and collaboration, environmental education and a sanctuary from urban city life. We also demonstrate the principals of permaculture design and organic gardening. We run workshops, gatherings and events, university-partnered education and supply fresh self-managed produce for volunteers. Due to being non-profit we have a $10 membership fee, which helps with day to day running costs. We meet at the garden every Tuesday from 3:30pm onwards - come check out the beautiful grounds for yourself and find out more, we would love to meet you and show you around.

Join us for the first working bee of our Accessible Garden Project!!!! This one will be dedicated to removing as much soil and garden edging as possible before the site survey, as well as breaking down the prunings from the olive tree so that they can be mulched. Snacks will be provided, and you don’t have to stay for the whole day.

Where: Murdoch Community Garden, inside the ETC, Murdoch University
When: From 10am, Saturday October 3rd
Parking is free in Carpark 13!

It was an absolute pleasure to have Professor Andrew Deeks (VC of Murdoch University) alongside Alex Iles and Aaron Green come visit the garden last Tuesday and show their support for the Accessible Garden Project! CALL OUT FOR VOLUNTEERS!!

We have been delightfully approved to start on our Accessible Garden Project making use of underutilized, unloved space near our building! However, we need all the help we can get, and that means we need YOU! We’re hosting a meeting at the 29th of September Busy Bee to find out who can help in any way they can. As always, dinner will be provided, and we’ll have an online meeting available if you can’t make it in person. Tell your friends! Tell your family! Tell anyone! All are welcome, not just students :)
