MEET THE MAKER: TONY PUGLISI
Watch Tony Puglisi as he creates a teapot on the wheel.
In this moment, Tony is shaping the spout — one of the most delicate parts of the process. Made in three parts, the teapot shows the skill, patience and craftsmanship behind wheel-thrown ceramics.
Tony is a true master on the wheel, and this Sunday you can come and meet him in person at the Stirling Open Studios Art Trail.
Join us to meet local makers, watch live demonstrations, explore the studio, and shop handmade work from 20+ local ceramic artists.

A little look around the studio today ✨
Today we welcomed visitors into Stirling Community Potters as part of the Stirling Open Studios Art Trail, and the studio was buzzing with activity.
Pottery demonstrations, artists working on the wheel, hand-building in progress, and a market table full of handmade ceramics created by more than 20 local artists.

As part of the Stirling Open Studios Art Trail, the studio at Stirling Community Potters has been transformed into a pottery market featuring work from more than 20 local ceramic artists.
From functional tableware to sculptural pieces, there’s a huge range of handmade ceramics waiting to be discovered.

🖐🐧 Clay Creatures with Esti – Sculpting Workshop This Saturday! 🐢🖐

Our incredible member Esti is back this Saturday 31st May with a hands-on sculpting workshop that’s not to be missed!

🧠 Esti brings a wealth of knowledge in hand-building, sculpture, and inventive joining techniques. Whether you usually work on the wheel or prefer slabs and coils, this is your chance to expand your skills and try something new — all while making your very own clay animal creation.

👩‍🎨 Last time, participants had an amazing time sculpting these adorable little characters (see pics 👇) — and they’re still raving about it!

🕘 Time: 9am – 12pm (with sculpting starting promptly at 9:30am)

This Saturday’s shaping up to be crisp but clear — so let’s gather in the warmth of our studio and share a cuppa for a great cause 💛

🎉 RAFFLE TIME! 🎟️
We’re raffling off a gorgeous hamper full of goodies to help raise funds for our Biggest Morning Tea, happening Saturday 24 May 🍰☕

🎟️ Tickets are just 3 for $5, and the winner will be drawn at the event!
💛 All proceeds go to the Cancer Council to support cancer research and those affected.

Not able to make it on the day?
You can still support the cause by purchasing a ticket in the studio, or popping a donation into the yellow box located at the club 💫

🎳 Keen for a bit of fun off the wheel? Join us for Jack Attack! 🎳

We’re inviting Stirling Community Potters members to take part in a friendly, social bowls competition at the Stirling Adriatic Club — no experience necessary!

🟢 It’s a short 4-week comp
👥 Teams of 3 (subs allowed)
🎯 Bowls are supplied
🔥 Sausage sizzle from 6pm, games start 6:30pm
💲 Only $10 per person per week

It’s all about having a laugh and connecting with fellow members. If you’re interested but don’t have a team yet, express your interest in the group — we’ll help find you some teammates!

Let’s show off our team spirit (and maybe some surprise bowling skills). Even if bowls isn’t your thing, come along to cheer, snack, and support your fellow potters.
