The impact of the AISWA HIPS 2.0 program is becoming evident across Western Australian Independent schools.

A bespoke program is underway at John Septimus Roe Anglican Community School , where leaders and teachers are engaging deeply with evidence-informed practices to strengthen teaching, learning and student outcomes. The commitment to collaborative inquiry, clarity of practice and continuous improvement is strengthening practice in visible ways.

Partnerships like this demonstrate the power of focused, sustained professional learning in driving real outcomes in classrooms.

Each year on 26 May, National Sorry Day is observed to recognise and reflect on the injustices experienced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples who were taken from their families, communities, and culture, now known as the Stolen Generations.

This important day honours the resilience and courage of Stolen Generations Survivors while encouraging all Australians to consider their role in supporting healing, understanding, and reconciliation.

AISWA recognises the significance of this day, and remains committed to supporting Independent Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities through education, connection and community leadership.

Today, AISWA joins schools and communities across Western Australia in commemorating ANZAC Day.
We honour the service and sacrifice of Australian and New Zealand servicemen and women, and acknowledge the enduring legacy of those who have served our nation.
Across our Independent schools, students and staff take time to reflect on the values of courage, endurance, mateship and sacrifice β€” values that continue to shape our national identity and are reflected in the character we seek to nurture in young Australians.
