Today on Larrakia Country (Darwin) Red Dust launched our Stratgic Plan - Vision 2030.

This plan is about walking alongside families, Elders, and young people to build strong, healthy futures; led by community, for community. It sets a clear path for how we’ll deepen our presence, grow local leadership and keep our programs culturally strong and effective.

Six Strategic Priorities guiding us to 2030:

👥 1. Strong Local Team & Leadership
Investing in our people first—building a strong remote workforce, creating structured mentoring pathways, and ensuring at least 40% of programs are led by community-based staff.

❤️ 2. The Red Dust Way: Community as Family
Keeping our core values at the centre, documenting our approach, and ensuring 100% of our team can share and live our culturally grounded model.

📈 3. Funding That Lasts
Building diverse, flexible, and values-aligned long-term partnerships to protect our work from shifting government cycles.

📊 4. Impact You Can See: Stories & Numbers
Measuring what matters to community through culturally safe evidence, shared through respectful, strength-based storytelling.

⚙️ 5. Simple Systems, Stronger Delivery
Streamlining our tools and operations so our people can stay focused on what truly matters: direct community impact and connection.

🚗 Keen to make a real difference with young mob in the NT?

We’re looking for a passionate fulla to join us as our Strong Young Men & Boys Program Coordinator (full-time, Darwin-based).

What’s the role? You’ll be out in community—visiting schools, youth centres, and heading out on-Country—helping deliver health and wellbeing programs that matter. No two weeks are the same, and every day is about supporting Indigenous youth to thrive.

Who are we after?
• Experience working with Indigenous youth and young adults
• Knowledge of health and wellbeing for mob
• Great at connecting and yarning with young people
• Comfortable collecting data to show our impact
• Living our values: Real, Ready, Respectful
• Adaptable, hands-on, and a true team player

In attendance we had representatives from Danila Dilba Health Services, NT Health Rheumatic Heart Disease Program, Ironbark, NT based midwives, Chela Wellness, and Stars foundation. A great opportunity to share, listen and recognise the work being done within this space.

Nyirripi, Mt Allan, Willowra and home team Yuendumu will all be in action today and all school holidays with the grand final the “Last Saturday of Holidays”

This week our CEO Scott Stirling invited Do Duy Vi, CO-CEO of Blue Dragon Foundation to meet our team. They're on an incredible mission across Vietnam to protect children and families from exploitation.

Scott was fortunate to meet Vi while holidaying in Vietnam earlier this year, where he got to hear his inspiring intergenerational family story of resilience, and the founding of the Blue Dragon Children's Foundation.

This weekend Blue Dragon Walk will take place. From the UK and Canada, Thailand and Singapore, Australia and beyond, the Blue Dragon Walk is a global movement that changes lives. All the money raised will keep kids in school, provide vocational training, bring people home from slavery, and support people recovering from trauma to rebuild their lives. There’s still time to sign up, and if you can’t make it on Sunday then you’re free to plan your own Walk anytime, anywhere.

What a view! The sunset overlooking Areyonga (Utju) is one not to be missed. Where is Areyonga? Located about 220 kilometers west of Alice Springs, it sits in a valley at the bottom of a deep gorge at the western end of the MacDonnell Ranges. We've been lucky enough to work with Areyonga school for over twenty years, and we're so grateful to maintain that relationship all these years later. Everytime we're there, Veronica (and Moe 🐾) take us up to watch the sunset and see the town from this stunning location.

That's some good grub! On Country with students from Areyonga Primary School. Some people reckon they taste like scrambled eggs, others reckon popcorn.
