MIT Group Foundation Ltd is a charitable organisation established in January 2015 by Mr. The Foundation is administered by a Board of Directors and has been set up to provide relief to poverty stricken people and to assist in times of need for the poor and destitute in developing countries. The Foundation has set up as a dedicated MIT Group Foundation Overseas Gift Fund which is managed by the Funds Committee and provides financial relief to those in need. VISION
To create sustainable and holistic developments of vulnerable communities through education and health; consequently raising economic and social development of underprivileged communities in developing countries. MISSION
To develop holistic, need based and right based approaches to improve the participation rate in education for the marginalised; and to save lives by providing access to basic health care services to these communities in developing countries.

MIT Group Foundation is working towards a long-term program to support up to 110 school-age children affected by the 2026 Bhotekoshi flood in Nepal.

The proposed program will focus on helping eligible children continue their education through to the completion of Grade 12, with support for school fees, learning materials, transport, accommodation where required, psychosocial care and other essential needs.

The Nepal Flood Appeal is now open, and we are inviting our community to support this long-term initiative.

Every contribution, large or small, can help provide stability, education and opportunity for children affected by the disaster.

Standing with Nepal

Our hearts are with the communities of Rasuwa, Nuwakot, and the wider region affected by yesterday's devastating flash floods along the Bhotekoshi River. The scale of loss, lives taken, families separated, homes and livelihoods swept away, is deeply painful, and our thoughts are with everyone searching for missing loved ones, including the many foreign nationals and tourists still unaccounted for.

We extend our sincere condolences to all who have lost family, friends, and colleagues in this tragedy, and our gratitude to the rescue teams, medical workers, and volunteers working around the clock in extremely difficult conditions.

We stand with the affected communities and are following the situation closely. We are currently considering how best to support the relief and recovery efforts and will share further updates as our response takes shape.

Our thoughts remain with Nepal.

The Sustainable Startup & Entrepreneurship Conference 2025, hosted by the MIT Group Foundation, took place on March 29 at Hotel Himalaya, Lalitpur. Centred on the theme "From Roots to Growth: Mobilising Diaspora Investments and Innovation to Power Nepal’s Sustainable Economy", the event brought together a vibrant network of entrepreneurs, investors, and change agents to explore how innovation and collaboration can drive long-term, sustainable development in Nepal.

A major highlight of the day was the Future Roots Awards 2025, an initiative by the MIT Group Foundation to recognise high-impact, youth-led startups that demonstrate bold, scalable, and sustainable solutions.
