What a fantastic evening at Dad Matters last week! 👏

It was inspiring to see our community come together at the Ken Lyons Pavilion to explore the realities, challenges and rewards of modern fatherhood. From thoughtful conversations to practical insights, the event was warmly received by all who attended.

A big thank you to the panel of experienced facilitators, including Tony Johannsen, Family Life’s Director Clinical Practice, Evidence and Quality, for sharing expertise and helping spark meaningful discussion around the journey of dadhood.

Events like this highlight the importance of connection, support and open conversations within our community.

Men’s Health Week is an important reminder that men’s mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing matters - not just for individuals, but for families and communities as a whole.

At Family Life, we continue to support men through targeted programs such as Talk4Change and Home in Focus. These evidence-informed initiatives strengthen resilience, support healthier relationships, and promote lasting positive change for men and their families.

Together, we can foster safer, healthier communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

After fleeing family violence with her four children, “Kara” was left with over $30,000 in debt, no stable housing, and no way to support her family.

Through our Family Law program, Kara was able to have most of her debt waived, access backdated concessions, and significantly reduce ongoing expenses.

With the right support and connections to partners like Mission Australia and the Good Shepherd Financial Independence Hub, Kara is now debt-free and enrolled to study nursing with financial assistance.

Today, she’s looking ahead with hope and possibility. Find out more about our Financial and Family Law Programs, and access support: https://www.familylife.com.au/our-services/separation/

What a wonderful day celebrating our incredible volunteers 🧡
On June 2, we came together at Sandringham Yacht Club for our National Volunteer Week luncheon - one of the highlights of the year! From great food and entertainment to meaningful conversations, it was so special to recognise the amazing contributions of our Family Life volunteers.
A big thank you to our sponsors Brennan and Go Salary, and to The Selfie Hub for capturing the fun with the photobooth. Thank you to everyone who joined us - we loved celebrating with you and can’t wait to do it all again next year!
