The Reach Foundation

The Reach Foundation Reach supports young people to get the most out of life. Our youth-led workshops are for any young person between 10-18 years of age. Sorry guys!

We aim to improve the wellbeing of young people so they can be healthy and resilient to meet life's challenges, and fulfil their potential. Please note, Reach Crew and Staff aren’t allowed to accept friend requests from Reach participants on Facebook. This is our Social Media Policy, it’s designed to help protect the privacy and safety of both our young people and our Crew. So if you’ve been to a

Reach workshop and want to stay in touch, hit ‘Like’ on this page and we’ll keep you in the loop with all things Reach!

Meet Maggie!

Maggie’s Reach journey began with an online workshop and continued through our Crew program. Over the past few years, she’s grown into a valued member of our community, and we’re incredibly excited to share that she is now a newly accredited facilitator and our new Crew Trainer for Term 3!

Maggie’s journey is a great reminder of what’s possible when you step outside your comfort zone, embrace new opportunities, and stay connected to a supportive community. We can’t wait to see the impact she’ll make in this new role.

Expressions of interest for our next New Crew intake are now open! Head to the link in bio to sign up!

Different contexts. Common aspirations.
Today is International Youth Day. A chance to celebrate young people, their voices, their ideas and the futures they’re creating.

This year’s theme, “Different Contexts, Common Aspirations,” reminds us that while every young person’s experience is different, so many of the things we hope for are shared: to feel heard, to belong, to have opportunities, and to feel confident shaping our own future.

At Reach, we see the power of this every day.
We believe young people shouldn’t just be part of the conversation; they should help lead it. That’s why our work is youth-led, creating spaces where young people can connect, be themselves, build resilience and discover what they’re capable of.

Here’s to the young people who are speaking up, showing up, looking out for each other and helping shape what comes next.

Happy International Youth Day

Our Facilitation team just got a whole lot stronger!

Accreditation is a significant milestone at Reach, and reflects commitment and continued growth from each person. Every step of accreditation represents new skills, and readiness to take on the next challenge.

Huge congratulations to Asha, Evie and Meg, who have stepped up from crew into new roles as Facilitators in Training. They are driven, talented and ready for what is next!

We are also celebrating 4 (yes, FOUR), new Facilitators in Maggie, Monte, Paul and Zach. These 4 have been truly stepping it up lately and continue creating positive impact in whatever room they’re in creating safe and authentic spaces for young people.

We’re so proud of everything you’ve achieved and can’t wait to see the impact you’ll continue to have with Reach. Congratulations!! 🎉

Thanks to the our team was lucky enough to travel to Mildura recently and deliver some incredible workshops over a week.

We had the opportunity to deliver workshops for Years 8-12 at different schools, with every workshop bringing new points of connection and discussion.

Working in regional communities is always amazing, with young people not realising how much they had to relate to each other. The nature of our workshops allowed us to facilitate conversations around a huge number of topics, building a better understanding in every cohort we worked with.

Thankyou Mildura for having us, and thankyou to The Newsboys Foundation for helping make it possible.

Recently, Reach returned to Central Australia ahead of the Heart of the Nation game to deliver workshops and spend time in community. After a two-year hiatus, the team was incredibly grateful to be back thanks to the support of McLardy McShane (), Melbourne Football Club () and the Jim Stynes Foundation (). Alice Springs has held a special place in Reach’s story for more than a decade, and it was meaningful to reconnect with the incredible communities, schools and organisations that make the Red Centre so unique. We’re already looking forward to coming back and continuing this work together!

As well as our trip up to Alice, during reconciliation week we were invited to join and support The Worawa Reconciliation Sports Carnival day ().The carnival brings together over 700 students from 22+ government and independent schools across the state to celebrate diversity, culture, and sportsmanship. We were very privileged to be apart of such an incredible experience, and for the opportunity to talk to so many young people about what “All In” means to them.

Today The Reach Foundation and Youth Impact Foundation announced a merger that creates one of the country’s largest prevention-focused youth mental health organisations.

It’s an important day as this is exactly the kind of mission-led, sustainability-focused development the charity sector needs.

The merger preserves Reach’s distinctive facilitation model and youth workforce pipeline while enabling national scale, stronger evidence practice, and reduced reliance on short-term funding cycles.

It is a genuine story of two organisations choosing long-term impact to better the lives of young people.
