CWA members volunteer their time and talents and Joy Davis has certainly made an amazing contribution! If you’re heading to the Melbourne Royal Show, be sure to visit the CWA Cafeteria.

Joy Davis is hanging up her apron after almost 20 years in the kitchen at the Melbourne Royal Show.

The 80-year-old's commitment and craft in the kitchen earned her the title of Queen of Scones from her peers.

Calling all seniors! In celebration of the 2026 Seniors Festival, CWA Williamstown will be hosting a little get together for the community, with an afternoon tea and quiz time.

We'd love to see you at Dennis Reserve Centre on Sunday 4th October, 1-3pm.

If you're someone who can't get out and about easily, please send us a message and we'll do our best to help get you along to the event.

While our famous scones often steal the show, every cup of tea served, every meal prepared and every volunteer shift contributes to something much bigger.

Funds raised through the Cafeteria help support The Country Women's Association of Victoria Inc. - CWA's work with vulnerable women, children and families across the state.

Look what’s cooking!

What a lovely morning! Members gathered today for craft, chat and cake, learning how to simply decorate a batch of cupcakes for a homely afternoon tea, all while enjoying each other’s company over a cuppa. It’s this kind of warm, social gathering that fosters friendship and gives members the chance to learn something new together. 🌸

The morning wasn’t just about cake though. Together, members packed bags of toiletries for vulnerable women in our local area, a practical way of caring for women, children and families in our community and contributing through hands-on volunteering.

This is CWA in action: caring for those who need it, empowering one another through connection and shared learning, and contributing our time to make a real difference locally. 💕

Celebrating Australian wool 🐑

This year's State Exhibition introduces a special Australian Wool Challenge, celebrating both our Product of the Year and Geelong's rich wool heritage.

Members have been invited to create an original article using 100% Australian wool, showcasing the versatility, beauty and sustainability of one of Australia's most iconic natural fibres.

From practical pieces to stunning works of art, the entries demonstrate just how inspiring Australian wool can be.
