Ladder

Ladder We level the playing field for young people to thrive. Ladder is the official charity of the AFL Players and the Toyota AFL Finals Series.

With the backing of the AFL industry and the players themselves, our programs not only assist young people transition to independent living, but also help restore their belief in themselves and give them the confidence to follow their dreams, free of the debilitating impact of homelessness. AFL players past and present are involved as staff, youth mentors, advocates and volunteers to deliver fitness sessions, or simply give their time where needed to support Ladders programs. We currently have projects in Victoria, South Australia and Geelong, with a vision to operate in every region in Australia that hosts an AFL team by 2020

Ladder recently welcomed Tracie Lund to our office for morning tea and an opportunity to connect with our young people and hear about their experiences, goals and aspirations.

The conversation explored Tracie’s personal connection to Ladder, the importance of supporting young people, volunteering and building stronger connections within the local community.

It was a valuable opportunity for our young people to share their experiences, hear Tracie’s story and have an open conversation about the community and their futures.

Thank you to Tracie for taking the time to visit Ladder and connect with our young people.
