We level the playing field for young people to thrive. Ladder is the official charity of the AFL Players and the Toyota AFL Finals Series.

With the backing of the AFL industry and the players themselves, our programs not only assist young people transition to independent living, but also help restore their belief in themselves and give them the confidence to follow their dreams, free of the debilitating impact of homelessness. AFL players past and present are involved as staff, youth mentors, advocates and volunteers to deliver fitn

ess sessions, or simply give their time where needed to support Ladders programs. We currently have projects in Victoria, South Australia and Geelong, with a vision to operate in every region in Australia that hosts an AFL team by 2020

Ollie made the call to turn things around. After family challenges and time away from school, he joined the Ladder program with some clear goals. Since then, he’s completed a TAFE electrical course, secured a casual hospitality job and is now working towards an apprenticeship. Ollie’s story is proof that with the right support, determination can spark real change.
