We’re proud to see Shabana Basij-Rasikh recognized as part of TIME’s 2026 TIME100 Next. TIME

Shabana was a keynote speaker at ICGS’s 2022 Global Forum on Girls’ Education in Boston, where she shared the story of the School of Leadership, Afghanistan (SOLA) and reminded our global community of the transformative, and sometimes courageous, act of ensuring that girls have access to education.

Since then, Shabana and SOLA have continued to create pathways for Afghan girls to learn, lead, and shape their futures. Her work is a powerful reminder that girls’ education is not simply about access to a classroom. It is about creating opportunities for girls to imagine and build a different future.

We’re grateful to have learned from Shabana and to continue celebrating her leadership and commitment to girls’ education.

Engineering For US All - e4usa ensures girls see themselves as innovators.

Huge shoutout to Dr. Stacy Klein-Gardner for her amazing session at the International Coalition of Girls' Schools Global Forum on Girls’ Education in Toronto earlier this summer.

She led an interactive workshop on Engineering for US All (e4usa), showing how "Us All" really means everyone.

Participants got hands-on experience working through real, community-based design challenges that e4usa students tackle every single day. It was such a great reminder of how impactful engineering education can be when we make space for girls to lead.
