✨ That's a wrap on our very first Little Chefs Club! ✨

Over the past 8 weeks, we've mixed, measured, chopped, stirred, tasted, laughed, and learned together 👩‍🍳

From trying new foods and building kitchen confidence to making new friends and creating delicious recipes, we have had the best time in our Learning Kitchen at Ashtonfield this term ❤️

We are so proud of how much our little chefs have grown in their cooking skills, teamwork, independence, and willingness to give new things a go. Thank you to all of our amazing families for your support, and to our wonderful little chefs for bringing so much enthusiasm, creativity, and fun to every session.

We can't wait to see what you'll cook next! 🍓🥕🍪🍕✨

The ConnectAbility Little Chefs Club kids have been busy building confidence and developing practical food skills through a range of hands-on cooking activities.

Over the past two weeks, we've made an assortment of fruit and vegetable smoothies and some delicious beef nachos. Most importantly, these cooking experiences provide opportunities for children to learn about nutrition while developing important life skills such as:
✨ Following instructions
✨ Food preparation and kitchen safety
✨ Fine motor skills
✨ Independence and confidence
✨ Social interaction and teamwork
✨ Exploring and engaging with a variety of foods

Whether it's grating vegetables, blending smoothies, or assembling their own meals, every activity is designed to support positive food experiences in a fun and supportive environment.
We love seeing participants take pride in their creations, develop new skills, and build confidence around food each week. 🌟

Looking for support with your child's nutrition, food variety, cooking skills, or confidence around food? Our Paediatric dietitians provide individual and group-based services tailored to each child's needs and goals.

We celebrated this message on World Autism Day back in April, and the response from our community was incredible.💜

It’s a powerful reminder that celebrating and supporting people on the autism spectrum shouldn’t be limited to just one day - it’s something we should (and do, here at ConnectAbility) recognise and value every day of the year.

We’re proud to support individuals and families through our autism assessment services, now available with our highly skilled team of speech pathologists and psychologists.

Skip the long waitlists and take the next step today. Book an appointment with our team (joint assessment by a psychologist and speech pathologist) and get the support you need, when you need it - bookings available now! 💜

With 1 in 127 people on the autism spectrum, creating inclusive communities isn’t optional, it’s essential. At ConnectAbility, we’re committed to building spaces where everyone feels connected, supported, and valued for their unique strengths.

Let’s keep working toward a future where inclusion is the norm, not the exception.
