Cook Off Girls are starting to "hunt and gather" supplies for the 2026 Hunter Homeless Connect event in July.
We are cooking up a whopping 200 litres of hearty, healthy soup.

CALLING FOR FOOD STAPLES DONATIONS :
Donations can be dropped at Lifeline Maitland, open 7 days.

Tinned tomatoes
Tomato paste
Tomato Pasatta
Orzo or Risoni pasta
Olive oil
Creamed corn
Yellow split peas
Chicken and beef stock cubes or liquid.
Coconut cream/ milk
Red kidney beans
Tinned chickpeas
Lentils

Cash donations, for fresh chicken, ham bones, dairy, herbs and veggies etc, anything that we can't " hunt and gather": can be made to:

Calling Cook Off Girls and supporters!

We are thrilled to announce that on Monday, July 27th, our team will be cooking up a record breaking 200 liters of homemade, healthy and hearty soup for the 2026 Hunter Homeless Connect Hunter event at the Newcastle Entertainment Centre!

We're seeking passionate helpers in the following areas:
Cooks to join our culinary crew on July 27th (no experience necessary, location Maitland )
Delivery personnel to help transport 10 x 20lt buckets of soup to the Entertainment Centre on Tuesday 28th July
Pantry supplies
Financial contributions to purchase essential ingredients.

A detailed list will be shared once our mouth-watering recipes are finalized.

It might be cold and wet outside, but we have steaming pumpkin soup with garlic bread plus the Our Circle Maitland - OCM sizzling BBQ on tonight. Serving from Hope UC- Hope Unlimited Church Maitland .
5-6 pm. Drive up and take away or sit in the heated foyer and commune with the locals.
FREE meals available to these that need a little love. ❤️

Tonights cook with Our Circle Maitland - OCM was filled with all the good things...fabulous people, fabulous food and fabulous connections.
Home made pies, fresh salads to go with the BBQ and home made scones. Lots of new faces tonight who have heard about our food services.
Next job, Tuesday cooking 100 lt of soup for Hunter Homeless Connect event at Newy Entertainment Centre on Wed 30th.
