What an uplifting day, catching up with some of the OG Cook off Girls.

On a serious note, we managed 200lt for Hunter Homeless Connect, with another 30lt for Hope UC- Hope Unlimited Church Maitland Welcome Wednesday lunch and dropped off 10lt to a local boarding house in Maitland..

There's a little bit of cash leftover and we will be forwarding it onto Emmy-Lou Carson, another grass roots cook, doing amazing things every week.

It takes a village, and we are blessed by the village, friendships and support we have in our local and broader communities.

Feel free to drop in to Hope UC- Hope Unlimited Church Maitland if you'd like to help or just check out what we do. We will be there from 8am until we complete 200lt of hearty, healthy soup for Hunter Homeless Connect event at Newcastle Entertainment Centre.

Cook Off Girls need a cool room for Monday night to store our 200lt of soup for Hunter Homeless Connect event.

We have 10 x 20lt sealed buckets.
We will collect Tiesday mid morning to take to the Newcastle Entertainment Centre.

Anyone have a restaurant, pub, butcher shop that we could store the soup overnight?
Please let is know.

Thank you Got Your Back Sista for lending us 20lt pots to cook our 200lt of soup on Monday...make a HUGE difference using 20lt pots versus multiple x 8lt pots.

Delivery driver confirmed.

Only 3 weeks until the Cook Off Girls do our big 200lt soups for Hunter Homeless Connect event.
We are nearly there with staples, just a few more items needed :

Creamed corn
Coconut milk
Orzo pasta
Tomato paste
Pasata
Olive oil
And 10 x 20lt food grade buckets from Bunnings.( see photo )
