The Maitland RSL was first formed on the 1 June 1919 by soldiers and sailors returning from WW1. It is one of the few sub-Branches in the state that provides a week long service to members, current and ex servicemen, who are yet to become members. Our welfare officer is available to assist with current and former serving service men/women. If they can’t provide the appropriate information, eg; a P
ension Officer(Advocate) that is in the area, they will take your name and contact details, and someone will advise you later. Maitland RSL is committed to the future and is hoping that by the creation of this page, it will encourage the younger generation of current and ex serving military personnel from the Maitland and surrounding area to join the Sub Branch. Maitland RSL is also committed to raising awareness in the community about commemorative and fundraising events through social media. If you’re a ex-service person, that has 6 months service in the Defence Force or Defence Force reserves or National Service,
COME and JOIN the sub-Branch.
