🌭 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED 🌭

The Held Project is manning the BBQ at Bunnings Paget, on Sunday 7th June and we’re looking for a few wonderful volunteers to help make it happen!

If you can spare a couple of hours to help cook, serve, chat with the community or lend a hand on the day, we’d love to hear from you.

We’re hoping to have 3-4 volunteers per shift:
• Set up at 7am-10am
• 10am-1pm
• 12-4pm pack down

All funds raised will go directly back into supporting local mums, babies and families through The Held Project.

We’re currently accepting donations for The Held Project + The Mum Hub 🤍

If you’re clearing out baby items your little ones have outgrown, we would be so grateful for your support ✨

We are looking for:
👶 Clean, like-new or new with tags baby items
🧺 Freshly washed clothing + essentials
🤍 Items in excellent condition

To help keep our bundles safe and comfortable for families, we kindly ask that donations:
• are free from stains
• do not smell like smoke
• are free from excessive pet hair/fur
• are in beautiful, usable condition

Every donation helps us support local mums and babies through difficult seasons and we are so thankful for this community helping us build a village around them 🤍

✨ Grant Announcement! ✨

We’re proud to support The Held Project in delivering 100 wellbeing bags to mums across regional Queensland 💙🤱

With the help of a QCoal Foundation Community Spirit Grant, The Held Project will provide not only practical resources, but also compassionate, face-to-face perinatal mental health support to mothers in the Mackay region - helping reduce isolation and strengthen community connection 🫶

We’re excited to see the positive difference this project will bring to mums and families in need.

✨ TO THE HEARTBEAT OF OUR VILLAGE: HAPPY NATIONAL VOLUNTEER WEEK! ✨

The Held Project is a proudly volunteer-run initiative, and our mission is simple: to ensure every mother feels supported, seen, and never alone during her parenting journey.

Much of early motherhood feels invisible, and the truth is, the incredible people who keep this charity running often work invisibly behind the scenes, too. Our volunteers are the absolute heart of our mission.

They are the unseen village who are:
Packing and delivering our tailored wellbeing bags for pregnant and postpartum mums.
Doing the crucial coffee runs.
Providing a safe, non-judgmental presence for local mothers who just need someone to sit with them in the mess.
Acting as true peers who listen and connect through lived-experience empathy.

A special shout-out to our incredible founder—Amanda—who is always on call to ensure our community is supported.
