Strandings can be reported on the QWildlife app or call 1300 130 372 (Business Hours), for urgent assistance call 0493 769 516 Our volunteer members monitor beaches to collect data on nesting turtles and hatchlings, as well as respond to marine strandings. We are also actively involved in the community, providing educational resource

s, attending events & communicating with the media to promote the conservation of marine turtles. Active members must be 18+. For people interested in turtle tours we recommend Mon Repos Conservation Park near Bundaberg. M&DTW do not operate tours.

Heat can have a big impact on nests in our region, as well as too much rain. Heat AND too much rain is definitely not a winning combo!
