On Thursday 4th June the Royal Flying Doctor’s Outback Car Trek passed through Bothwell on their way to Hobart. The Bothwell CWA and Bothwell Lions Club were proud to cater for these lovely people who are supporting rural communities on their trip. We would like to thank our members and friends who helped us cater for this event.

Congratulations to Bothwell Branch members for bringing home the Headlam Trophy for the third year running. 🏆👏👏👏

The Headlam Trophy is contested by four branches each year, Cressy, Sassafras/Wesley Vale, Sorell and ourselves.

Categories this year were
* patchwork table runner 1m x 40cm
* knitted toy no bigger than 30cm
* crochet matinee jacket
* date loaf in loaf tin
* 4 x florentines
* orange marmalade

Thanks to everyone that came together today at Ross Town Hall. We had such fun and laughs playing Uno, Stitchopoly and other games while the judging was taking place. The shared morning tea and lunch were delicious as always.

Looking forward to next year. 😊
