We aim for our social media channels to be safe and respectful online spaces for all community members to participate with and enjoy. To achieve this, Whittington Neighbourhood House will remove any of the following comments, as so

on as they come to our attention:

• Complaints which identify a staff member or volunteer by name – please contact us directly if you wish to
make a complaint about a staff member/volunteer;
• Comments which defame other people or organisations. These are comments that harm the reputation of a
person or organisation;
• Comments that could be considered intolerant of a person's race, culture, appearance, gender identity,
sexual orientation, religion or age;
• Comments which are advertisements or SPAM. This includes political material;
• Comments which link to inappropriate, offensive or illegal material;
• Comments which insult or attack individuals or organisations;
• Comments which are irrelevant to the original post;

We reserve the right to remove comments that include any of the above, and will remove or ban any user who:
• continues to post comments such as those listed above;
• uses offensive images as their profile picture;
• has an offensive username;

Looking for a relaxing way to spend your Tuesday afternoon? Come along to Grinter Garden from 1.00pm Tuesday's and get involved in our community garden.

Whether it's planting, weeding, watering, harvesting or simply enjoying the fresh air, there's something for everyone. Malcolm is always there to lend a hand and welcome new faces.

We are so excited that Don't Forget My Pet Foundation have hosted their first Pet Health Check Day at Whittington Neighbourhood House.

For many people pets are more than companions—they are family, providing comfort, connection and emotional support. However, with the rising cost of living, accessing preventative pet care can be challenging for some households.

These low-cost Pet Health Check Days help remove barriers to essential pet care, supporting both animal wellbeing and the people who love them.

What a great morning at Men's Group yesterday!

The group rolled up their sleeves and got to work building raised garden beds for the neighbourhood house, creating something that will be enjoyed by our community for years to come. Along the way there was plenty of conversation, laughter and a trip down memory lane while listening to some classic LPs.

It's amazing what can happen when people come together to share skills, stories and good company.

Next week we'll be planting herbs and enjoying a coffee or tea together.

Today’s Whitty Kitchen was filled with warmth, laughter and the incredible smell of freshly baked CWA cookies drifting right out the front door 🍪

A huge thank you to Fran for coordinating such a calm, welcoming and safe space for everyone who attended today. Your care, patience and kindness create an environment where people feel comfortable, connected and included.

It was so special to share a beautiful CWA recipe with the team and the house, bringing a little tradition, community spirit and homemade goodness into the kitchen today. The cookies not only looked beautiful, they tasted absolutely delicious too!

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made today another wonderful Whitty Kitchen session.

Our community garden is looking beautiful, full of fresh growth, friendly faces and plenty of opportunities to get your hands in the soil.

Whether you love gardening, want to learn something new, meet people, or simply enjoy some relaxing time outdoors, we’d love to welcome you along.
