Some days, just getting out of bed feels like heavy lifting, and trying to fit into a mold you were never meant for can break you. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it forever: you don't have to pretend you have it all figured out.

For World Mental Health Month, Mental Health Australia reminds us to look at what we actually need to keep going. And honestly? Self-care doesn't always look like a grand gesture. Sometimes, it’s just taking a moment to breathe, moving your body, catching up with a friend, checking in on a colleague, or simply giving yourself permission to pause.

You don't have to carry it all on your own, and you certainly don't have to be 'normal; to be worthy of peace.

Look out for your people, check on your mates, and remember to be kind to yourself.
