PROJECT ROCKIT is all about creating spaces where kindness and respect thrive over bullying, hate and prejudice and every young person is free to realise their potential. Established in 2006, we have now reached hundreds of thousands of young people all over Australia.

Wear It Purple Day is a chance to celebrate the courage of LGBTQIA+SB young people, allies and communities, in all its different forms 💜

Courage can be loud or quiet. It can look like speaking up, standing beside someone, being yourself, or making space for others to do the same 🌈

This game was a small visual way of showing that when we reach higher together, we can go further! 🙌

Schools across Australia are entering a new chapter in how bullying is prevented, identified and responded to.
✅ With the National Framework for Addressing Bullying in Australian Schools, every state, territory and non-government education body will need to align its policies by Term 1, 2027.

As this work moves from policy into practice, young people’s voices need to be part of the process.

PROJECT ROCKIT is proud to have contributed to the government resources supporting the rollout, working with the National Youth Collective, a network of around 50 young people aged 12 to 21 with lived experience of the issues shaping these systems.

P-ROCK is out and about 🤸🏼‍♀️
Some of our favourite moments from the last few weeks in schools:

⭐️ A Primary student on why appearance-based bullying stings so much: "She might feel sad and try to change the way she looks and who she is to fit in, even though she liked her dress and felt comfortable in it." The room jumped in straight after with support. This is what it looks like when kids get it.
⭐️ Also from the same crew, on why difference is actually the good part: "If everyone was the same we'd have the same toys." Iconic logic. No notes.
⭐️ A Year 6 broke down the psychological impact of bullying so clearly the whole room was nodding along.
⭐️ Watching a neurodivergent student be loud, excited and completely himself in a room that could've gone the other way. Nobody made fun of him. Just kindness all around.
⭐️ The "disruptive" Year 7 who everyone warned us about ended up giving the sharpest answer in the room: "Contact the eSafety Commissioner, because I wouldn't know what to do." Turns out he was listening the whole time. Never underestimate the kid at the back.
⭐️ A student who wasn't meant to engage came out swinging with genuinely funny, genuinely sharp insight on calling out bullying when he sees it. Post-workshop he was found in an inflatable sumo suit bumping into people and making everyone smile. Legend!

This is why we do what we do. 🚀
