Murray Downs Golf & Country Club is proud to donate another $15,000 to the Swan Hill Neighbourhood House Community Transport Car program.

As the major sponsor of the vehicle, we’re helping provide vital transport for local community members who may not otherwise have access to travel for medical appointments — whether that’s here in Swan Hill or trips to Bendigo and Melbourne.

This incredible service makes a real difference to the lives of so many people in our region, and we’re proud to continue supporting such an important community initiative.

We had a wonderful community BBQ lunch last Thursday to celebrate Neighbourhood Houses Week as part of Australia’s Biggest Community-Led Lunch.

Thanks to volunteer Haydn for helping us cook up a storm and to Sait's Butchers and Mallee Neighbourhood House Network for their generous support of our event.

Neighbourhood Houses welcome people of all ages, abilities and walks of life, creating opportunities for people to enrich their lives through connections they might not otherwise make. Guided by a community development approach, they each engage and respond to the priorities of the communities they serve. Because Neighbourhood Houses are place-based and community led, they’re able to cater to their unique community demographics, needs, and strengths. Bringing people together is what Neighbourhood Houses do best.
