🌿 SURRENDER:26 — A heart full of gratitude.

What an incredible three days at Belgrave Heights last weekend. We are still processing the beauty of having 350 of you join us on Wurundjeri Country to explore what it means to seek justice and mercy in the margins.

From the deep wisdom shared in the sessions to the quiet moments of contemplative practice—the energy of shared conversations by the fire pit, the spirit in the village hub, and the nourishment of the food and drink we shared—it was a weekend that truly fed the soul.

We are so grateful for the weaving together aswell of worship, poetry, dance, and music that filled the air, and for the gentleness, kindness, patience, and honesty and truth shared by all.

🙏 To our community:
To every contributor, volunteer, and attendee who brought their honest stories and open hearts: thank you. You didn't just attend a festival; you helped cultivate a community of hope for our year ahead.

We can’t wait to see you again in 2027. ✨

At Surrender Festival 2026, we believe that some of the best conversations happen over a shared meal. That’s why we’ve partnered with two incredible local legends to keep you fueled all weekend!

We are so honored to have The Good Neighbourhood Project and Foothills Community Care - Community Meals joining us. These organizations are experts in hospitality and building community through food in their local areas.

What’s on the menu?

Meet Your 2026 MCs! 🎤
We are so excited to introduce the incredible team guiding us through the main sessions:

Joel McKerrow: A long-time friend of Surrender, Joel is an award-winning performance poet, author, and educator. He’s been stirring our hearts since 2011, and we can’t wait to have his creative energy back on stage.

Kelly Woods: An artist, gamer, and missional leader, Kelly works at the intersection of faith and contemporary culture. Whether she’s hosting the Sonderverse digital community or facilitating retreats, she brings a deep sense of curiosity and sacred space.

Ben Howes: Leading Tearfund’s Advocacy & Church Engagement, Ben is passionate about justice and mercy. When he’s not equipping the next generation of leaders, you’ll find him in the bush or making a fresh batch of Tearfund chai!

Good things come from the edges 🍁

We are so excited for our SATURDAY MORNING main session at Surrender Festival ‘26! Join us as speaker Karina Kreminski explores ‘Edges: Reimagining faith, Church and theology.’

"Edges are liminal spaces where one thing ends and another begins. It takes courage to stay at the edge. It’s risky. It’s a place of messiness and transformation. But it’s when we are playing at the edges that we experience innovation, creativity and impact. The edge entices us to go deeper.

As we hear voices from the edges of our world and think about issues from the margins, our society flourishes. Who are these edge-walkers today? How can telling stories from the edges shape our weary society for the better ? This session will be an encouragement for those who walk the tension between what is and what will be."

The session will be beautifully woven together with:
