and for some it’s about reaching a goal

We think that for Nicki and Darren a thousand parkruns were just something that happened along the way

What a fabulous morning at the Phar lap track parkrun. Bobby welcomed 41 first timers, we hope to welcome you back very soon! The calm and cool conditions facilitated no less than 30 personal bests.
Our event was made possible by 15 hi- vis heroes👏. We would love to welcome some new volunteers in the future- just drop us a line.

🏅Gary celebrated his 25th milestone
🏅Our very own Run Director extraordinaire, Chris celebrated his 350th parkrun
🏅10 year old Olivia galloped home in 12 position with her chaperone Gary, (check out the determined face👏)

Remember we are cancelled next week and will be back on 20th June. Can’t wait to see you then for a walk, trot, canter or gallop around our famous track! Bobby🐴

Winter blues... nothing like being coped up inside so break free and come join us for refreshing taste of the outdoors. Nothing like fresh air, high fives and the welcoming smiles of our hero's in red. Thank you to those who have there names on the roster for this Saturday, if you would like to join them let us know.
We are in need of a barcode scanner, photographer, volunteer recruiter and course marshal just to name a few roles up for grabs.

Can I bring my dog to The Phar Lap Track parkrun?

Generally not but yes if it’s your assistance dog! Parks Victoria have specified that only assistance dogs are permitted within Braeside Park. If you check the event in the parkrun app you’ll see that dogs aren’t permitted at this event.

Our Course Marshal roles are currently vacant this week. All that is required is to direct participants in the right direction during the event at the designated spot.
Just hold up the sign like our wonderful vollies in the photo.

Our Timekeeper this week is feeling lonely without a volunteer to hand out the Finish Tokens. Can you help him out this week?

We are also looking for a few more crucial volunteers as well:

Car Park Marshal - #5 car park
Course Marshal - Enter/Exit
Barcode Scanner (don't have any)

* Remember you can do both the car park marshal role and parkrun on the same day.
* Barcode Scanning can also be done if you are a fast finisher of no more than 25mins
