🍔👨‍🍳 Cooking Up Confidence One Meal at a Time! 👨‍🍳🍟

On Thursday, our talented participants in the S4E Commercial Cooking Program put their culinary skills to the test by creating delicious smash burgers served with crispy potato wedges!

From preparing ingredients and practicing safe food handling to cooking, plating, and working together as a team, participants gained valuable hands on experience in a real kitchen environment. Activities like these help build confidence, independence, teamwork, and practical hospitality skills that can be transferred into future employment opportunities.

The results looked fantastic and tasted even better! Well done to everyone involved for their hard work, creativity, and dedication in the kitchen. 👏🔥

✨ Creativity was on full display in our Textile Skills Program today as participants designed and created their own beautiful table runners! ✨

From choosing fabrics and colours to measuring, cutting, and assembling their designs, everyone had the opportunity to build practical sewing and textile skills while expressing their creativity.

Activities like these help develop attention to detail, problem solving, confidence, and workplace-ready skills in a fun and supportive environment. Most importantly, participants left with a finished product they could be proud of.

At Support 4 Employment, we believe that hands-on learning creates meaningful opportunities for growth, independence, and future employment pathways.

There’s something special about food bringing a community together 🍽️💛

Our Commercial Cooking Program team at Support 4 Employment were proud to cater for the Neighborhood Watch Community Lunch hosted by the amazing Westall Community Hub. From preparation to service, our participants worked incredibly hard to create a welcoming experience while building real hospitality and teamwork skills along the way.

This was more than just a meal. It was an opportunity to connect, collaborate, and strengthen community ties through inclusion, confidence, and shared experiences.

A huge thank you to the local community, volunteers, and everyone involved for making the day such a success. We love seeing our participants shine while giving back and creating meaningful community connections.

Community. Skills. Confidence. Connection. That’s what it’s all about 💫

This activity gave everyone the chance to explore the full creative process — mixing, pouring, setting, and carefully removing their finished pieces from the moulds.
It was a great hands-on session that encouraged creativity, patience, focus, and practical making skills, while also giving participants something unique they could be proud of.

On Tuesday in our Art Program, participants used their creative mindsets to design and make beautiful Mother’s Day boxes. Each box was a chance to explore colour, decoration, personal style and thoughtful gift-making.

It was wonderful to see everyone’s ideas come to life, with each participant adding their own special touch to create something meaningful for Mother’s Day. 💝

A great session filled with creativity, focus, imagination and pride in finished work.
