ZOE Australia These approaches have enabled ZOE to develop a proven model of best practice.

ZOE Foundation Australia support the global mission of ZOE International to prevent child trafficking and exploitation, rescue children from slavery and restore and bring new LIFE to child survivors and at-risk children in out-of-home care. ZOE combats child trafficking by preventing children from human trafficking, rescuing child victims of human trafficking and exploitation, and restoring the li

ves of child survivors and at-risk orphans. ZOE combines the experience gained from working with child trafficking survivors with current anti-trafficking research, methodologies, and implementations from around the world. ZOE continues to adapt with innovative solutions in the key areas of prevention, rescue, and restoration. ZOE Foundation Australia (established in 2011) is part of the global work of ZOE International (established 2002). ZFA promotes, communicate about, and funds the work of ZOE internationally in the areas of: prevention, rescue, restoration, missions and leadership. Since 2002, ZOE International has been reaching people with the gospel and combating child trafficking by working directly with children and youth who have been exploited. Human trafficking is a multi-billion dollar industry and is the fastest growing criminal enterprise in the world today. Research shows that game-based learning can increase engagement, improve knowledge retention, and support social and emotional development. In fact, one study found that participants retained significantly more information when learning through game-based approaches compared to traditional methods.

That's why we developed the Treehouse Game—a game-based tool designed to strengthen prevention efforts through education, conversation, and awareness.

“Among the organisers and perpetrators of my abuse were my own family members, my primary caregivers, and others. That betrayal has distorted my perception of the world and permanently impacted my ability to feel safe.”

Trigger Warning: This content addresses child sexual exploitation and trafficking and may be distressing for some viewers.

Child safety starts with understanding.

Around one in four Australians reports experiencing child sexual abuse during childhood (ACMS). Yet these experiences are often misunderstood or reduced to headlines.

Beyond the Headlines: Understanding Child Trafficking and Child Sexual Exploitation in Australia is a community webinar that invites deeper, more informed conversations about child trafficking and child sexual exploitation in Australian contexts.

Hosted by the MacKillop Institute, and delivered in collaboration with ZOE Foundation Australia, this webinar explores these issues with care, nuance and evidence moving beyond assumptions to support safer responses for children and young people.

Tuesday 9th June
12:30 pm – 2:00 pm (AEST)

Something exciting happened over the weekend...
A few more Treehouse Games found their way into the hands of people working in school wellbeing and other community spaces.
This game is becoming a bridge - helping adults and children connect, communicate, and build the confidence to talk about personal safety in age-appropriate, engaging ways.
Every purchase reminds us that creating safer spaces for children starts with meaningful conversations, and we're incredibly excited to see the Treehouse Game being embraced as a tool to spark those conversations.
Thank you to everyone who is helping bring these important conversations to life.

From the very beginning, Rachael believed in the vision for the Treehouse Game.
What started as an idea to help children have open conversations about safety has now become a reality.

This moment — showing Rachael the final product — felt pretty special.
