Good News Friday 📣

We are incredibly honoured to have been selected as the charity for the prestigious Loaves and Fishes Luncheon hosted by St John’s Cathedral.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated and attended, and to the wonderful team at St John’s Cathedral for making the event possible. Your generosity and support mean so much to our Foundation.

We would also like to acknowledge the inspiring speakers and guests who represented the Foundation so beautifully on the day.

Together, this incredible luncheon raised an outstanding $50,000 - truly amazing!

Shout out to Club Joy! 🪩🧡

We are incredibly grateful to Meg & Phil and the entire Club Joy community for their inspiring fundraiser and the beautiful energy they have created in support of people living with MND.

After their best friend Jaals was diagnosed with MND in 2024 and sadly passed away in 2025, they chose to channel their grief into a positive and uplifting movement - creating spaces filled with connection, music, and joy.

✨ Club Joy launched on Friday 29th, and what a night it was. A celebration of life, love, and community - bringing people together on the dance floor while raising over $5,000 for MND support and research.

We want to thank everyone who showed up, donated, danced, and supported this incredible venture. Your generosity makes a real difference to people facing MND.

Paris-Roubaix champion, Mat Hayman, will be joining us at this year's 24forMND event! Kicking off the ride and cycling with our riders - he wants to see you there 🙌 This is a special and rare opportunity all for people facing MND.

This event is a challenge but it's incredible to be part of!
Tackle the 24 hours solo or enter a team of up to 6 riders - its all about strategy to clock the most laps.
Date: 10am 22nd - 10am 23rd August
Where: Criterium Circuit, Albert Bishop Park, Nundah

This is Breeda’s second year taking on the incredible challenge of “5k every day in May for MND,” and we absolutely love seeing her go from strength to strength - smashing her goals while raising awareness for Motor Neurone Disease.

Good News Friday (it's a big one!) 📣

This past weekend was certainly one for the books! With multiple third-party events happening on the same day, our small but mighty team of four truly divided and conquered - spreading across the state!

So what was on exactly?

🏇Cause for George
In it's second year, this Barrel racing event is certainly turning into a 'must do' on the comp calendar. Stacey, our Client Services Manager, had the honour of attending Cause for George, spending time with the event organisers Georgia & all the Plemenuk family, the generous volunteers and celebrating everything this beautiful initiative represents. It was a heartfelt and inspiring event that brought the community together in the best way.

🚴 Valley Velo
What a cracking day! 253 riders, $165,000 raised, stunning weather and all the good vibes - with every dollar supporting people living with MND. Such an outstanding effort from the event organisers and volunteers!!
A huge shoutout to Fergie's Hope for their continuous support with their talented market stall!

🦁 Gabba 50/50 Raffle – MND Round
A HUGE effort, with over $70k worth of raffle tickets sold!
Meg, our Client Services Coordinator, alongside Glenn, an incredible volunteer, led a team of 50 dedicated volunteers who absolutely smashed this year’s ticket sales record at the Gabba!!
To every volunteer who gave their time and energy & to everyone that purchased a ticket - thank you! And a special shoutout to Meg and Glenn for supporting the team!
We’re also incredibly grateful to the Brisbane Lions and the 50-50 Charity Raffle team for their ongoing support.

☀️ Beach Fest – Sunshine Coast
Jane, our CEO, was flat out at Beach Fest, raising vital funds through the NTI MND Research Truck Raffle. With a fantastic number of tickets sold and plenty of meaningful conversations along the way, it was a big and successful day out!

Last weekend raised over $240,000 and we couldn't be more thankful or prouder of our community - to the sponsors, event organisers, volunteers - THANK YOU!
