In the lead up to Oxonmoot 2026 - two members of the Canberra Tolkien Fellowship have decided to eat like hobbits for the week.

The food includes fish and chips, pie and mushy peas, vegetable stew, lembas bread and more.

Vale Tim Curry - he would have made a phenomenal Saruman.

Tim Curry on stage with Ian Mckellen in AMADEUS, 1981. Peter Jackson had considered Curry for the role of Saruman, which eventually went to Christopher Lee. RIP to one of the great thespians of an age.
