❄️ What to Eat – Winter Wonderlights Edition ❄️ Can you believe we're less than a week away from Opening Weekend?

Our teams have been working hard behind the scenes to get everything ready, and with so much to see and explore, we're sure you'll work up an appetite along the way!

The good news? Most of our food vendors will be open during the day with most having special extra bonus hours from 7pm until 9pm. Be sure to stop by the New York Bakery, The Prospectors Table, our event exclusive Coffee Huts, and Tinsmiths while you wander through the snow.

We can't wait to welcome you for a magical evening filled with festive sights, delicious food, and plenty of winter wonder! ✨❄️

And now, we invite you to relax, let us pull up a chair. As the dining room proudly presents: Your Winter Wonderlights dinner 🍽️

As part of the Winter Wonderlights experience, you can pre-book a dinner timeslot and indulge in a delicious Christmas-inspired feast. Enjoy succulent roast turkey, glazed ham, and a selection of seasonal winter vegetables, all served with rich, flavoursome gravy.

We also offer tasty plant-based dinner options for our vegetarian and vegan guests.

And of course, no dinner is complete without dessert! Adults can finish their meal with a decadent pavlova, while the kids can enjoy a classic banana split.

Bookings are essential, as this dining experience is not available for walk-ins.

No, not that David Jones!
Our David Jones arrived in Ballarat in 1850 and opened the iconic Criterion Store in 1862 on the corner of Armstrong and Sturt Streets right here in Ballarat.

In our museum, we've respectfully recreated the original store on our Main Street, giving visitors a glimpse into Ballarat's rich retail history. Step inside, browse the shelves, and shop to your heart's content!

The Criterion Store is open during normal daylight hours, with special extended trading during Winter Wonderlights from 7pm–10pm for all your winter warming needs!
