Their focus is looking at ways to live smarter, lower our environmental impact and ease the cost of living! A space to talk about your environmental knowledge, news, concerns and suggestions for improving our environment and living a smarter life.

Our environment, health and wellbeing are the most important matters affecting everyone today, and we need to work together, we can make a difference and we’re here to support each other each step of the way.

In addition to their regular Saturday shift (last Saturday of the monBallarat Repair Cafe are now open every second Thursday. Their next Thursday shift will be Thursday the 12th of November.

Thursdays require a booking so email them at [email protected] to secure your spot.

So if you have a broke item, you have been meaning to get fixed, Ballarat Repair Cafe is here to help!

No bookings are required for the last Saturday of the month shifts and they run from 1-4pm at Barkly Square. The next one is Saturday the 31st of October.

Spring is the perfect time to tackle those home projects you’ve been putting off.

Whether you’re fixing a leaky tap, refreshing a room with paint, building extra storage, or finally sealing those draughty windows, there’s no need to buy every tool you’ll only use once.

At Ballarat Tool Library you can borrow the tools you need, save money, reduce waste, and get stuck into those DIY projects with confidence.

A few ideas to get you started this season:
• Paint a room
• Build shelves or storage
• Repair fences and gates
• Clean gutters
• Pressure wash outdoor areas
• Re-grout the bathroom
• Prune the garden
