Calling all new residents to Ballarat/Wadawurrung. 👋😎

Volunteering with community groups is a brilliant way to connect.

No experience necessary - heck, most of our existing volunteers don't even like gardening... 🤣🤣🤣🤣 which is ironic!

We are a fun and caring bunch - and we ALWAYS need new volunteers.

We loved all the conversations, connections and support. You nearly bought out alllllll the plants!!! 🪴 😂😂

But that is ok, as we will restock for next week.

Tomorrow we are excited to swing open our doors of koling karringa ngitj ( grow together) shop/studio space, as we do every Saturday, at Barkly Square in Ballarat East at 10.30am - 2pm.

It is our favourite Saturday - as it coincides yet again with our fab pals at Ballarat Wholefoods Collective hosting their ripper Ballarat Preloved Fashion Market - spring version. Lovers of recycling, the planet, vintage clothing, jigsaw puzzles, should pop in. Starts at 11am.

Coffee van will be onsite, plus delicious belly-warming pastries from Aussie Oggie Pastry Co. And co-tenants, Voice FM Ballarat will be broadcasting live.

We have stacks of August Specials too in the shop - reduced pricing on our merch, and plants. We 💚 creating a welcoming space where fresh food, friendships and community can grow together.

Thank you to our beautiful neighbours Ballarat Regional Multicultural Council - BRMC for inviting us along to host two jam-packed FUN gardening workshops with Diversity Homework Club recently.

We had a total hoot with you all. And can't wait for more adventures together in November. Special thanks to Caroline, Anusha and Annie for the collaborations.

Learning, Growing and Exploring Nature Together!

At both Sebastopol Library and Clarendon College, we all had a fantastic time exploring nature, learning about plants, healthy soil, saving seeds, and sustainable gardening practices.

Everyone rolled up their sleeves, got their hands dirty, and discovered how food grows while connecting with the environment in a fun and interactive way.

The workshops encouraged curiosity, teamwork, and outdoor learning, giving students the opportunity to develop new skills beyond the classroom. It was wonderful to see so much enthusiasm as students asked questions, planted seedlings, and shared their gardening experiences with one another.

Together, we are grew knowledge, confidence, and a love for the environment.
