Do you know a young person aged 12–25 who is making waves in Ballarat?

As proud sponsors of the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion category for the 3rd consecutive year, we want to make sure young people across all 10 City of Ballarat Youth Awards categories are celebrated! 🌟

The awards are all about making ripples, making waves, recognising young people aged 12–25 who are making a positive impact in their schools, clubs, families, and communities.

There are 10 award categories covering everything from leadership and creativity to inclusion, volunteering, and personal growth, and we also recognise influential adults who support and empower young people.

Why nominate?
👉 You know someone who deserves the spotlight, even if they’d never ask for it themselves.
👉 It’s a chance to celebrate quiet achievers, kind hearts, future leaders, and community champions.

⏰ Deadlines: Nominations close 11.59pm, Sunday 21 June.

This week, our Y Kinders staff were in East Gippsland for their Professional Development Day! 🙌 These PD Days are a great opportunity to come together, mingle and learn from one another.

Pedagogical Leader, Rhiannon Musgrove shared, "The reflective sessions have sparked some rich and valuable discussions, with teams openly sharing their successes, and turning barriers into opportunities for growth." 💚

Y Kinders Teachers and Educators are committed to continuous learning and best practice, setting a positive example for the children they teach, support, and nurture throughout these important early years of development.

🚗 With 1,508 km travelled so far, we still have a couple of PD Days to go. Stay tuned as we share some more highlights in the coming weeks! 🎉

Happy National Volunteer Week! 🎉 Of course we appreciate these incredible people every day, but today we want to give a special shoutout to our dedicated ReCranked volunteers. 🤩🚲

ReCranked Workshop Coordinator, Tom O'Brien (pictured left) shares, "It's been great to get the chance to be part of the ReCranked team. The volunteers are amazing in their commitment, and deserve plaudits galore! A big shout out to them, and to Larelle for making it happen."

It's , and we've been celebrating! 🎉 Our Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Educators are passionate about providing the best experience for your child.

Education comes in many forms and there are unlimited benefits to before or after-school care, including the development of your child's motor skills, social skills, or life skills such as cooking.

At Hamilton OSHC, children have been problem-solving throughout every day activities such as playing board games. They teach their friends how to play, with one child even showing kindness and suggesting, "It's a little tricky, maybe we could team up?" 💜
